Booked a one way rental to go 3 hours back home. Drop off location was closed, no Dropbox and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Was told in order to not get charged for the extra days til Monday I have to drive it back to the airport. What do you want me to do?!!! Walk home after. Absolutely subpar

I had a fantastic experience renting a Macan from this Hertz location in March 2024. The Macan was clean and very nicely optioned. It was a complete pleasure to drive. Ali, at the service desk, was extremely helpful and a delight to work with. Pick up and drop off were both easy and quick. Muhammad at the return location was nice, pleasant and very friendly. I look forward to renting another car at this location.

Why can one take $39 online with a specific credit/debit card, only to find they can’t fulfill the reservation later? It’s bewildering how a reservation can be made with a certain credit/debit card, and occur a charge, but upon arriving to pick up the vehicle, that card payment method is deemed invalid to secure the rest of the booking and drive off—simply because they don’t accept payments from that bank? After being handed off to multiple people, including different rental providers, each one gave us the runaround. As I sit here at home, relaxing instead of driving, I can’t help but think about how much customer service associates enjoy having a power trip. Thanks, Hertz, for granting me the privilege of sleeping in my bed tonight instead of driving all night. I’ll be sure not to use you or Enterprise to avoid any future headaches?

Zero stars , I’ll never rent from them again. They know that when they rent you a vehicle CHANCES are YOUR LICENSE PLATES WONT MATCH THE VEHICLE THEY RENTED YOU. I WAS PULLED OVER and TICKETED. I was a hour and a half away from the airport at this point . The local police highly suggested I not drive it. Do you think Hertz accommodated me for any of my inconvience ? Not one bit ! The car had to be towed back to the airport and I had to go rent another one at full price . No discount , no nothing. They didn’t really even care. I typically don’t review anyone and if I do it’s a good thing. This particular location is aweful!!!!!they also go by budget and dollar. Mark, the manager was truly not going to help me out at all. Yes, he was happy to rent me another vehicle with no breaks no accommodations for the 2 days out of my 8 day vacation I lost .

This is by FAR the WORST Hertz location I have ever experienced. I have traveled weekly for business for the last 5 years. I have always had a significant disdain for the Columbus Hertz Location. Which is different as far as the ownership and relationship with Hertz at most other airports. I was hopeful when the garage was built because a manager told me they would have a presidents circle. Well obviously they didn’t do that and I’ve experienced the new garage multiple times since then. This time they pushed my disdain to hatred. I will NEVER use this Hertz again. I brought the vehicle I had back and the needle for the fuel was over the full line. When the rep in the garage came to get the mileage etc she asked for a receipt to prove I filled it up. Then showed me on her tablet that it was 8% less full than when I got it. She refused to accept that the line was over the full tick mark and was going to charge me for the gas if I didn’t take the car back out. I took the car back out and literally had to milk the gas into the vehicle because every time I squeezed the gas pump it bucked since the tank was already full. She told me to bring back proof of the fill with a receipt. Unbelievable. Not to mention terrible customer service for someone who has shown loyalty, exclusively to Hertz for the last five years, nearly weekly, with the exception of time off and/or the rare occasion that an airport does not offer a Hertz.

Franchisee location, so they are not apparantly held up to the Hertz standard. They do not upload receipts to Hertz or email receipts upon return. Attempting to call them will have you put on hold immediately for over half an hour.Extremely poor Hertz location.

Absolutely scummy place. Gave me a vehicle that smelled vaguely of cigarette smoke, didn’t worry about it and assumed it met their “cleaning standards” and when I returned it, they charged me $400 for smoking in a vehicle I did not smoke in.

I had a OK experience renting the car. No going over the working of the automobile. I found that sad.Returning the car was a pleasure. Nice young lady at the counter and a very Lovely Lady on the lot.

Worst experience I've ever had at a Hertz location. Agents and Manager are extremely rude. Even though return agent visually confirmed fuel was full, stated without a receipt that there's a fuel fee. Only way to avoid the fee, had to drive few miles down the road and add less than a dollar of gas to get a receipt. Manager was not of any assistance.Also, there's not a Elite member board to pick your car and go. Everyone has to wait in line and speak with someone even with a reservation and elite status.

Negative 0 stars!!! Please read review before you rent here!First off, President Circle status here. I travel every week for work and use Hertz. I have always had a good experience for the most part. This particular location is a scam. Please do not rent from here. I wish I read the reviews prior. I usually do a walk around or take a video but it was late when I arrived. I still had a 2 hour drive to West VA. I just wanted to get out of there.There is no picking your own vehicle out of the PC lot because there is none. They assign you a vehicle and please look and document the vehicle. There was a review I just read where they did the same to me like the previous person. When I returned it, there was damage to the front bumper. I rent cars every week. I never had an issue. I had to write a “statement” and I got a letter in the mail from this company they use. They want to charge me $2K for the damages. This is the first time happening to me and I am furious. This location is a SCAM. Why would they put out vehicles with damages? Because they want to ding someone else for it. I used my Amex platinum card and from reading the fine print. I believe Amex will take care of it. But still, it’s the hassle of going through the process. It’s not like I am a one time renter, they can look on my Hertz account and see I rent every week with NO issues.Please don’t rent from here. Even if it’s your last resort. Save the troubles of them scamming you!Negative 0 stars!!!!!

Worst experience with a rental car company. Even after going through customer service the issues persist. We moved on and used Alamo. Night and day difference. Don't bother with hertz. They are not worth the headache
