Don’t waste your time with this company do yourself a favor and RUN as far and fast as you can! They called me telling me the car was do back I still had 2 weeks left the lady then when I returned the car wanted to try and charge 400$ cleaning fee! They said they found ash in the car well first I don’t SMOKE. 2nd is the car wasn’t even ready or clean when I got it! This place is a complete JOKE…. Run run fromThis place!

Back in October I had to take my car in for body work. I was getting a rental through Hertz who called me the day before to confirm my rental. I was told that I would be getting a 4-runner so it would be about the same size as my vehicle. When I got there they were putting me in a rav 4. I told the manager that is not what I was supposed to be getting. He argued with me telling me that it doesn't matter what was confirmed because the 4 runner they had is listed as a 7 passenger since it had a 3rd row. I told him that was not my fault and I wanted the 4 runner. He refused and just wanted to argue with me. I ended up with a camera because it had more room n the front than the rav. He asked for my license which I put on the table in front of me. He immediately started yelling saying he wasn't renting to me because I threw my license at him (which again, I did not throw anything) the vehicle the gave me was dirty and had water on the I side. The rep was telling me if I returned it with 1 piece of dog hair, dirt anything I would be charged $400. I said your are giving me a dirty car that I have to clean for you so I don't get charged $400. This manager has no customer service skills and when I asked for his supervisor's name and # he refused. I took the vehicle so I could be on my way. I returned the vehicle cleaned, filled up with gas and on time. The manager again was rude and I would not recommend using this location at all. Now forward to this week. My vehicle is being serviced so I was sent to Hertz on Georgesville rd where I was told that because of the argument with the manager he put me on the do not rent list. I have tried to reach one of the Byer's since hertz said they own all the Hertz in Columbus and Dayton with NO LUCK! I have missed this whole week of work because of them. I called Hertz corporate who advised me that I am NOT on the do not rent list with them. They said it was strictly with this franchise and for me to contact them to have it removed. Because of this manager and lack of customer service I am.missing work! So someone from the Byers family needs to reach out to me. I have left info with a sales manager at the dodge dealership and was told that Bill Byers is the one who runs hertz for the family but no way for me to reach him directly. This is ridiculous to be treated this way! I would suggest to anyone looking to rent from Hertz to double think it.

Wish I would have seen the reviews! I would have been at least prepared for a possible bad experience.I had to get body work done on my vehicle due to damage from an accident. During the call of scheduling my reservation for 9/22/23 at 8am, I was asked if I wanted picked up from the body shop. They explained to me they would meet me at the body shop with the rental. I accepted thinking what an amazing service to offer! Unfortunately, I received a call 10 minutes past my reservation pick up time to be told I would be instead picked up by a Lyft driver then taken to them on Morse Road in Columbus, Ohio. Jessica explained they were short staffed. I told Jessica that I need to be at work at 9am in Grove City (across the city). Since I had no choice, I went there to them. I get there and sign paperwork. I was told I had to sign the agreement that a $400 charge incurs if I return the vehicle dirty. I signed it. Now what I was given blew my mind!! Bugs on windshield and grill of the Toyota 4Runner. Dirty dash, floor mats, and seats. Dents and scratches around the car, which were noted upon walk through. Key fob doesn’t work by only unlocking 2 doors. Jessica offered to replace and bring out to me another replacement vehicle. But my issue is that I was handed this vehicle after she drove it to give me. I would never have offered that vehicle to a new customer. She realized I was already late to work so I imagine that had some to do with it as well. But it was a bad look for Hertz in general. While I drove to work the smell of spoiled milk started to waft up. Then the dash alerted me that there were Vehicle Maintenance notifications. When I stopped at work I looked to see 4 notifications. Since then I called Hertz corporate who had the Regional Manager, Roy contact me. He heard my grievances and has assured me it will be resolved. So it’s a wait and see.Crazy part is I have a reservation with Hertz for a vehicle for 2 weeks for personal use. They are offering a great rate! But is that enough to have to possibly go through this again? The pick up site is different in Canal Winchester, Ohio but I’m still concerned. At this point am I fool to use them again? 2nd time would be shame on me. For now, I am seeing how this resolves and I’ll make the decision then if I use them or go somewhere else. 1st time user and this has been a regretful experience!

Hertz has accused innocent people of stealing their cars because of poor accounting. They had to pay out $168 million to customers. ITS BEEN ALL OVER THE NEWS! This can be fixed! Do not use HERTZ!

My car was stolen so I had to get a rental car. Dee is who I interacted with the most, but everyone there is a super nice and willing to work with you. I still haven’t gotten my car back so I’m not sure how long I’ll have a rental.

Great service but in the return it took 45mins for someone to come back to the office to take the car back. It was very odd as no one was in front of me waiting on a car there was supposed to be 3 people working and only one came back. She had a line of people behind me but she was nice and even got me a Lyft to my car.

I rented a car for two days and Juan was very friendly and efficient. The Nissan Altima was practically new, with not one scratch and amazing gas mileage. My experience picking up the car and returning it went seamlessly.

All over the place and unprofessional. I had to get a hotel room because they would not retrieve my garage door opener out of a rental car that I returned to the dealership in which they told me they weren’t going to pick up from the dealership until Monday but they actually picked it up anyway and after I waited at the dealership for them to search around to find the car they realized that the car was picked up and then the Hertz location was closed. Additionally,Location is terrible and not easy to find

Service very poor they have no knowledge about other countries and do not take time to look information to try to help. They just tell you I don't recognized you license. The owner of the company should ensure to properly train the people to support differct ountries. I was able to do the rent in another location that took the time to understand and to seek information.

The location says Easton but not even close as you are in a unsafe neighborhood. Gross misrepresentation of location as I would not have selected if it had not said Easton.I arrived and was informed that they did not have my vehicle. 1.5 hour round trip for a car that I had online confirmation for. I wont say avoid Hertz but this location is bottom of the barrel option that you should avoid.
