They avoid doing basic maintenance at all costs. If they cared about the health and happiness of their tenants then they would do minimal upkeep of their properties. But all they care about is that rental checks keep coming in.

I LOVE this apartment! I’ve been here for almost 2 years. It’s definitely my favorite apartment of all time. I love the two doors, one is a back door to the fire escape the other has a locked downstairs door where one must buzz to get in. I feel very safe due to it.My neighbors are wonderfully nice, polite and quiet too. Mixed crowd of college students to working professionals. Thankfully the walls are so thick most people can’t hear anything and the reverse is true too.Yes it is very old but that’s it’s charm! My suggestion for most people when living here: buy ceramic heaters off of Amazon for winter. Two is suffice. Get a 3rd one for backup or if you need to be toasty. My electric bill is never over $60 a month. I notice that if your neighbors run their air you won’t have to run yours as often. The only issue outside of the actual apartment are noise and parking.A. Tape your parking pass to your window to avoid towing from shamrock.B. Get city parking passes they’re only $25 a year!!! A Steal compared to most cities.C. Buy at least two noise machines! The bars and their patrons can get LOUD at night, and I mean ANY NIGHT. I run at least one during the week and two-three during the weekend.Otherwise it’s an adorably peaceful place to live.

I lived here in apartment #43 from 1977 to 1979. through the "Great Blizzard" my apartment was toasty warm. It still had the built in ice box refrigerator to put the huge cube of ice in instead of electricity and still had a hand crank intercom phone on the wall connecting to the downstairs door. I'd open the kitchen window and crawl out to the fire escape to dump the trash down the chute. Beautiful hard wood floors. I loved living there. I was young, bleached blond and a hit the Discos every weekend. I had a lot of loving going on in that apartment back then!! My rent was $80. a month. There was an all bagpipe band of about 20 musicians that would come to the courtyard and play their bagpipes on Sunday mornings. The echo of the music in that courtyard was astounding, all the residents would open their windows and listen.I've not been back to Ohio since. If I ever do I'd love to visit the Greystone again. I'd probably not make it up all the flight of stairs now, but it would be wonderful to visit apartment #43 one more time. I've been in Sedona, Arizona for 40 years, but my heart still belongs to the Greystone.

I’ve lived in many homes in Columbus and can honestly the last year of my life has been the best. I felt very lost at the beginning of the pandemic and since have turned to god. Through HIM anything is possible!!! Living in The Greystone has brought me a peace I never knew was possible. Being so close to roaming goat coffee and UDF has basically given me access to anything I need. Trying to get off cigs but c’est la vie I guess ?♂️

Four years, I lived in the Greystone Court Apartments. There I had a three floor walkup with very few amenities and while the management was relaxed, I appreciated its charm. The old school transom windows were unique, the open bay window in the front brought in immense sunlight, and the hardwood floors (while scratched from overuse) brought me joy. Not to mention for the location and price, I was convinced it was more than reasonable - it was a bargain! Over time, the relaxed management brought frustration. The changes in parking and trash receptacles brought confusion. While I was fortunate not to see a price increase, neither did I see management taking care of the property. The apartments frequently had broken doors and the overly small laundry facility increased in price regularly and lacked cleanliness. Packages were placed in the mail room, open to all, which at times allowed for them to be taken by both strangers and tenants. Parking was never guaranteed, pushing you to pay at meters or to the city for zoning passes. Staff seemed to come and go in their main office. The apartments, while charming, lacked real ventilation allowing for mold buildup and wall sweats. More than once I had to ask management to come and clean the walls. The apartments run on electric grates and are freakishly cold in the winter. The opposite is true in the summer with only one unit air conditioning. The unsealed windows allow for a lot of heating and cooling loss. So, it wasn't uncommon to see $200-$300 electric bills - and that was me being conservative with my usage. The apartment while a bargain has it's costs - and when compared to other complexes in the area, I would strongly encourage someone to keep looking. Your money and time spent living is better elsewhere.
