The return of the Columbus Arts Festival after 2 years was a disappointment. Hard to believe that this was a juried art show. Very expensive junk

My first time going and been living in Columbus damn near my whole life. Went with my kids. Everyone had fun. I would have given 5 but not enough food options lol kids also packed swimsuits to hit the splash park. I enjoyed the performances while the kids played.

The Greater Columbus Arts Council does a great job supporting the arts in the city. I've been using their Art Makes Columbus/Columbus Makes Art site regularly for awhile now, particularly for their Public Art section, which is useful for both identifying pieces one comes across in the wild that lack signage or for mapping out art visits. The site also offers information on upcoming events, as well as relevant organizations and people. During September and October 2021, the council also hosted a free Columbus Makes Art Passport program. It was a well organized and fun way to find different places around the city. The passport booklets contained everything you needed to know to locate different opportunities and places and was a fun way to engage with the arts. Additionally, the GCAC also hosts artwork in its lobby and the Loann Crane Gallery, a meeting space in their offices. Upon my most recent visit, there were some very fun pieces to be seen, including paintings and 3D artwork. When visiting, there is free parking available in the labeled spots in the parking lot next to the building, so it's also a pleasantly easy place to go downtown.
