I wouldn't give 1 star.Shouldn't have to send a phone verification code eveerrry time i make an auto payment. Then they ask for a PIN. Since dont have any other accounts with 5/3, and never will because of this horrid experience, there is NOT A PIN.This has been since day one, 3 yrs ago, no one at 5/3 can explain nor fix it.You want customer service and access to you accounts?Go elsewhere.

I was the only car in the drive through but had to wait 10 minutes before I was helped. There was only one teller working, and she was helping the same customer inside the whole time I was waiting. There were other people working inside the bank, but I was told only a teller had to do my deposit. It seems the customer inside needed a personal banker and not a teller. I understand the need to wait my turn, but not how no one cares there are customers waiting for an extended period of time. I was told I was going to have to "wait." Frustrating experience!

I was given a check fromthis bank that I needed tocash so I went into this branch to do so. I do not have an account with them and they needed to create a "profile" for me just to cash this check, they also required my SSN which I found odd, then after creating this profile, they wanted to charge me $27 to cash the check thats issued fromtheir bank. I have never heard of such crazy steps and fees to cash a check issued by the same bank. Its robbery. I took the check back and left and Ill just deposit it in my own bank. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was a Fifth Third (5/3) bank client many years ago but not for long, I had a free checking account with no interest, no service fee. Suddenly the bank became charging my account for service and of course my account exhausted, when the money ran out they did not close the account, they continued to charge for the service plus interest. I could not do anything to fix it because I was out of state. After that, the bank made a dirty report about me to credit bureau. Then 5/3 was sued for these things, I did not participate in this lawsuit. Not long ago, I moved to a new area and it turned out to be far from my favorite Chase Bank branch, the 5/3 bank turned out to be the closest. Years passed and I thought that the bank had already come to its senses and I can deal with them. And here I am, I am again customer of Fifth Third bank. After a month being a client of Fifth Third bank I received a Debit card, and could establish online access to my checking account. Short summary: - after four month period I closed this useless checking account: - Debit card I could not use normally because no PIN number, I did one purchase on eBay using debit card and I regret about. During these four month I could just one time check balance online, all other attempts were unsuccessful, the site for various reasons rejected my request. No customer and tech support in the night time and week end. I am tired to call and visit local branch but not much they can do, to fix glitch in the program takes two weeks minimum. To call customer support, sounds like they got just one operator, waiting time, before she answer the call, between 10 - 20 minutes, if you lucky. Its not it, she has limited access to your account, so if it something serious and she cannot fix it, operator does the simple thing, she hangs up. Bank behaves like a solid financial institution; in fact it is a cheap counting house. Poor customer and technical support. The website look like it came from Stone Age in programming. I wanted to use it just because it is the nearest bank to my place of residence, actually let's say I'm out of luck. The miracle did not happen; it was my disillusion, completely disappointment.

I do not ever want to have a fifth third account again they are literally created to siphon money. I went negative in my account 5$ and replaced it that very moment. And the next day I woke up to a -73$ overdraft fee just because I didn’t pay it in 1 HOUR.

Please be aware before getting a fifth third account employees are very nice but the bank lacks security. When someone wants to cash a check all they do is briefly look at the ID they don’t have scanners to verify it’s a valid ID. I had my account drained due to a fraud issue that could have easily been avoided had the branch had better security protocols to ensure the ID used was valid. I have to wait 10 business days to receive my money back where other banks will refund your money while they process the dispute. Your better off going with a bank that offers more security and protection for its customers not one that makes it easy for fraudsters to access your money.

Cherish is a nice lady over there in the branch with extended help. She received and helped us to open a new account as quickly as possible. She also suggested various bank products and offered some time for us to discuss any questions. Bank is very accessible and staff is very friendly. I would recommend.

The local bank never picks up anymore when you call. You always go to a national recording loop. How about that for real personal service?! I bank at the one at Lazelle and Sancus in Columbus.

Very poor service and not worth the time to conduct business with this bank!

Horrible call center help. You aren't allowed to call and get your local banker anymore. You automatically go to the national call center to be put hold forever. They are now officially as bad as the cable companies.

There as they were closing in the pouring rain and they wouldn't help me on a very important matter. Ofcourse the online representatives can't do anything as well. For a small business owner they do NOTHING to help except for tacking on fees. Thanks I'll be moving all my accounts to Huntington. Very displeased.
