I was advised to use Fairway by my realtor. I called and talked with James, who was very professional and helpful. He explained the process well and answered my question. The issue I have is Fairway came back with estimated closing costs at 3x the amount I had been quoted by other companies. They also incorporated points into my equation, which had not been incorporated by other companies. Had I just went with my realtor's suggestion and not questioned James, I would be out over 4K.

This was my first time working with Andy Gaggin and I was was super pleased. I'm self-employed, so figuring out my income can be tricky. They were patient, on time, organized and thorough. When things changed (like they some times do after appraisals) new drafts and new plans were made quickly. I truly feel like I got the best deal! Thanks!!!

I have had the pleasure to work with Mike, Amanda, Michelle, and Kyle at Fairway as part of the real estate team Pure Equity Group and they are extraordinary partners not only to our team but especially for our clients. We value Fairway's professionalism, knowledge of the industry, the products they offer and their accessibility. To know we can contact them anytime for time-sensitive issues is a huge plus as well! I highly recommend them.

When the house of my dreams suddenly was put on the market, I immediately called the Michael Isaacs Team at Fairway Mortgage. Mike spoke to me for about 45 minutes, addressed my challenges of getting financed for such an expensive home, assured me that he would get me the approval I needed & then promptly followed up with an e-mail on what he needed from me. I had my approval letter that day & locked in the home with the seller. Probably the easiest & most professional experience I've had in years. Time is to valuable to shop Mortgage companies. Save your time. Just call Michael Isaacs at Fairway. Just amazing. Wow!

Fairway was recommended to us by our realtor. The process seemed smooth at the start with all conversation being done over the phone. Our problems started when we accidentally ran into our Fairway agent at an open house. The open house we attended was also being attended by our Fairway agent and the seller's realtor. Soon as we seen him we recognized him from his photos and we introduced ourselves. He seemed pleasant as we were touring the house. When we mentioned the house was nice but out dated and needed work our Fairway agent decided to become a realtor. He began to tell me how nice the house was and told us to look at all we would be getting with this property. Now this house had potential with about an additional 40k worth of investments but no way this house was worth the asking price. We did make an offer 40k below what the sellers were asking and as expected the sellers refused our offer. Almost 4 months later this house was still on the market. We were glad we did not listen to our mortgage broker. The second issue we had was once we went into contract. We told our Fairway agent my wife was currently in the hiring process for a more lucrative job. We asked if this would be an issue and he said it would be no problem if it is in the same field. It was, and so we placed a bid and the sellers accepted our offer. Our offer came with a closing date that was agreed upon. However, when I spoke with our Fairway agent he then informed us we needed a month worth of pay stubs for the loan to move forward. This would put us beyond our negotiated closing date and potentially cost us this house. After a few frustrating days they managed to figure out a way to move forward with what we had. The third issue we had was him setting us up with a 30-year loan when we specifically asked for a 15-year loan. We are in our mid-40's and did not want to be paying for a home in our mid-70s. When we spoke to him over the phone about this he tried to sell me on the fact it will give me less of a payment and there is not much difference between a 15 and a 30-year loan interest rates. What he failed to mention was how much more interest we would be paying over the lifetime of a 30-year loan. Seriously, does this tactic work? The fourth issue we had was when we were just about to mail in our first payment after we purchased our home. Wouldn't you know it they had already sold our mortgage to RoundPoint Mortgage. Causing more confusion and leaving us shaking our heads. So, if you're going to use them as a mortgage company understand they will absolutely sell your mortgage to another company before you can even make your 1st payment. We of course expected it would sale at some point but before our 1st payment? Seriously? So, buyer beware they may have decent ratings but understand you might not work with this company ever again once you have signed the paperwork.

We were out of state buyers looking for our first home. Dean and his team were very transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. He clearly explained what information he needed and patiently answered all of our questions. He was also very reachable, whether by phone, email or text. We were able to successfully close on our home on time and without hassle. When we learned that our closing costs were going to be significantly higher than what was originally estimated, Dean quickly did some research and found the discrepancy was due to an unusual situation where the seller had pre-paid the rest of the year's property taxes. While this was an unpleasant surprise on the eve of closing, Dean kept the process transparent and helped us understand every step of the way. We're now happily settled into the exact house we wanted and, after shopping around quite a bit, feel secure knowing that we got the best rate we could.

Worst experience ever with a mortgage broker and I have bought a lot of houses. New to Ohio, so I went with Fairway based on a realtor recommendation. There was either no communication or miscommunication. I would have one person from their office ask me to send something over and get no response whether or not it had been received or would suffice. Then, a couple days later, a different person from their office would request the exact same information. Also, they sell the loan immediately after closing. Which is common, but they promise all this "personal service" if you sign with them. They absolutely do not care about customer service. After selling my loan, they sent me no information on how to contact the mortgage servicer. I still have absolutely no idea who to make my first payment to. I sent an email to their "concierge" and he told be he forwarded the email to the servicer. I took that as a blow off, so I forwarded his response to the "CEO" of the the local Fairway office. He's the guy in the picture! I did not receive a response. Stay away from these people!!! Willie

Mike and his team were incredibly efficient and professional throughout the purchase of our new home. From the first meeting with Mike to discuss our options, to every follow-on stage of the loan approval process, we could not have been happier. From putting a house under contract to closing (on a VA loan) took only 24 days! Amazing. We highly recommend Mike and his team to anyone looking to close quickly and have a great experience with competitive mortgage products. We worked with a big bank on a previous home purchase and working with Fairway this time around was far superior. Even the seller's agent and the title company were impressed!

Fairway was quick to help us close on our house. We had a tight deadline and they had no problems meeting it. They were available at all hours to answer all of the questions we had as first time home buyers. I would recommend Fairway.

I worked with Michael Isaacs to get my home loan. His team was super communicative and kept me updated on every step of the process. They walked me through every form, and made sure I was comfortable with everything being done. It was a great experience for a first-time home buyer!!
