i recently rented a car from these crooks in Birmingham Alabama airport . We agreed on a price, including a $200 deposit. After I returned the rental and received my bill it was $200 more than agreed because of their nickeling and dining. I rented this vehicle for4 days and charged $619.09I will never rent from them again and for all future renters, BEWARE!!!

Flew into Atlanta airport for a family member’s wedding. Stood in line for 2 hours to get the car. The lines before and behind seemed to be never-ending; never less that 100 - 120 people in line. Lines for all the other car rental companies? Maybe 10 - 15 in line at any one time. Spoke to many airport employees who told us this was their “normal”; another traveler told us he stood in line for 4 hours. This is just not acceptable. If you don’t have the staff to move your customers through the process any longer, then don’t allow more rentals. A clear example of GREED on the part of Dollar Car Rental. We will never use this company again.

They are scammers charging fees claining damages to the vehicle when there aren't any. They fasilfy documents and provide photographs of another vehicle which they claim is the one you rented. They refused to provide higher up manager's phone number but thier email, which never gets returned. Please Please don't rent from them. You will be sorry.

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. My rental broke down on a busy 5 lane freeway in Orlando. I was refused a partial refund because they said they would give me a replacement but I would of had to of drove 2 hours for a new one. Who wants to do that after sitting broke down for hours at 11pm with a kid while on vacation?

They brag about how easy it is to rent a car with your debit card, yet insist you have a major credit card when you arrive at the airport to pick it up. FO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE

Toll Scam - beware. After a 45-minute wait at the counter, high pressure sales pitch for insurance and other add-ons, I get a toll bill which includes a $15 admin fee per toll charge. Keep in mind, the toll road was cashless and pay by plate is the only option, but the attendant left that out of her long-winded explanation of things I needed to buy. You will end up paying more for your rental even if the quoted rate seems lower. Use someone else.

Dollar claims to offer car seat rentals for $1 additional (per day or aggregate who cares), but when you go to actually book, by clicking through the $1 car seat rental link from Google, the car seats are actually $13.99/day. Did you really think I wouldn't notice two minutes later that you're scamming me by an additional $12.99/day? False advertising should be illegal.... oh wait

More expensive than I thought. I paid $420 to rent a full size for Friday 10PM to Tuesday 5AM . The process was easy, staff nice. The facility at CMH is not right next to the concourse any longer. The location on Yelp is incorrect. You have to take a shuttle, but it's fast and close, and the rental facility is clean.

I picked my vehicle with 3/4 of a tank and didn’t think much of it because I’ve noticed a lot of rental car companies are not filling up tanks before they give them to a customer. But upon return I had advised the receiving rep that it was exactly at the amount I got it on. Although I had advised her she proceeded to charge me for the fuel and then said I had to go to customer service to correct it. I had a flight to catch in less than and hour so of course I was out of town. Her customer service was horrible!! And her counter part was rude as well! They will charge your card like your money grows on trees! The only thing they kept saying was “did I have proof it wasn’t on a full tank” did I have a picture. I’m telling them no and they treated me like a liar…very very disappointed. Be careful of hidden fees and please keep your camera out for any and all incidents!

The worst car rentals ever, they disrespectful and scam, I rented car from them at CMH airport, they hold $300 off my credit card and it supposed to be refund after you return the car to them but they never did, they will not last for too long in this market, very poor customer services and unprofessional at all .

I reserved my rental car with Dollar rental Columbus ohio airport (CMH) 2 months in advance. When I arrived they said they had to do a credit check on my account because I was using a debit card. I refused the credit check because I have my credit frozen. They asked me to unfreeze my credit. I absolutely refused. They wouldn't rent a car to me. Keep in mind my wife and I are both 66 years old. The debit card is FDIC insured the same as a credit card. They couldn't explain anything else just continually saying they had to do a credit check. This company is run by Hertz and how dare them trying to force people to have a credit card. No wonder Hertz filed Bankruptcy. Poorly run Company. I will NEVER try to rent a car through them again. P.S. We walked over to ALAMO and they rented us a car and took our debit card, no problems.

90 minute wait with 3 customer service agents at the desk at Philadelphia airport. Staff was efficient and friendly but no express service. Will book elsewhere from now on.
