The Cultural Arts Center is an incredible and wonderful place for art education and exhibits, right in the center of downtown Columbus. Housed in the unique and historical old armory building, it offers affordable classes in ceramics, enamel work, jewelry metalsmithing, painting, sculpture, weaving, and the like. The center features great equipment, a gallery, and a shop of handmade goods. It has very capable, talented, and friendly instructors and the most wonderful and supportive staff, who cultivate a respectful and joyful learning environment. Students feel encouraged and thrilled about the skills they learn. The community arts space is a favorite learning spot, known for its nice people and great experiences. With free and paid parking available, it continues to be one of the best places ever.
I took a pottery class here. It was nice to meet new people with similar interests.

It’s an old building, with some art inside. If you’re walking by, stop in.
