We took my 3 year old here for the first time. We went around 1pm. It was on a weekday. Everything was great. It wasn't packed, and everyone was friendly.

Always a lot of litter, dangerous area, be careful shopping here especially after dark. Stores near the buffet have recent gunshot damages.
