Private client means nothing to Chase. Their so-called " Private Client Banker" Mr. Chase Fryer looks down on his clients, thinking that he is superior to others. Our experience with him was disappointing because he was rude, arrogant and incompetent. He said "if you are not a Private client, you don't meet a person. You can only call the 1800 number. " This experience has shown me that people in 1800 are more competent, helpful, nicer, and knowledgeable than Mr. Chase Fryer. We opened a business account in the end of October. He spent over 30 minutes asking so many questions before opening the account even though he already knew we had 2 existing business accounts, 4 personal accounts and many credit cards with Chase bank. He said he would know all the details to better serve his clients. However, after this experience I think he was using his position to be nosy. My husband went there to get his part done for the joint business account the day after I opened the account, and Mr. Chase Fryer told us he would take care of it and link it to our online banking. I transferred the money into the business account on 11/1/2023. In the middle of November, my husband received a call stating the account needed the documentation of the ENI from the IRS. I was able to email the document to him on 11/19/2023. However, I received a notification that he was on vacation until 11/30/23. Our account would be cancelled without receiving the document on 11/29/23. (Someone should be taking care of his responsibility while he was on vacation. This is the question to their branch manager, Mallori Berentz ) I emailed him as soon as I came back on 11/30/23 regarding our account. He emailed me: "As far as I know we are good." on 12/1/23. On 12/4/23, I noticed a charge of $35 on one of our accounts with Chase. He was supposed to downgrade all the accounts from Chase Private to Chase Sapphire because we transferred a huge amount from personal to a business account. He failed to do that, he failed to link our accounts, he failed to complete the process when my husband was there, he failed to tell us what we missed.... He blamed all these on us. I called and talked to him. He said he couldn't help me with any of the problems and gave me the Private Client 888 number. Then he said his next client was there. I said I would call the number but I wanted him to call me the next day to check with me because he was the one opening the business account for us in the Grandview Heights Branch. He hung up on me right there. (it was 1:52pm. He never called me or emailed me back). Then I went ahead to call Chase to deal with all the problems. It got solved one by one. The account was restricted and needed a verbal password that we never heard of or set up. We finally got an answer of why it was restricted and cancelled at 4:30pm from the 888 number call back. The real missing document was never mentioned by Mr. Chase Fryer. We became furious when we heard the account was cancelled and Chase bank would MAIL the check to us in three weeks. It's a very large amount of money. The executive supervisor on the phone recommended we go to a branch to resolve this so we can access our account and money. We are definitely NOT returning back to the Grandview Heights Chase branch, especially with Chase Fryer. Simply opening this business account took us over 7 hours and multiple days to resolve all the problems caused by Mr. Chase Fryer's incompetence. We filed a complaint but not sure if CHASE bank will do anything about this. We have had several businesses and personal accounts with CHASE and other banks for over 30 years. This was the absolute WORST experience we have been through with any banks.

The bank put an 10 day hold on a Cashier's Check issued by a well known bank. Chase refused to verify the check by contacting the issuing bank, refused to return the check, and refused to give the reason for the hold. The amount of the check was far less than $5000 which can result in a hold. One Bank employee even advised the check holder to say he'd lost the check. So Chase has the money in their coffers for 10 days and the check holder is out on a limb. This incident will be reported to FDIC.

I had such an amazing experience. I am brand new to Chase and met with Anton to open a new account. He was so helpful and knowledgeable during our meeting. He took extra time answering all of my questions and walking me through everything I needed to know. Can’t recommend this bank enough. Thank you!

Brett is rude. Horrible customer service. Was blaming a crash victim for being in critical condition in the hospital. Ripped a paper in front of the a customers face. What kind of banker is that. A saltine cracker.

Do not go to this branch for anything other than general banking. I had a scheduled appointment with Joseph their notary with email confirmation over my lunchbreak and they scheduled someone else on top of me and refused to see me despite my appointment. This was my second time stopping in for this and both times they waisted my time without assisting me.

One minute left before closing I needed a notary and had the chance to speak with Brandy. Just WOW!!! Calmed the situation (needed a title notarized) and helped everyone without pressure despite past closing time.
