About CHA Animal Shelter
CHA Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio that has been serving the people and animals of Central Ohio since 1975. The shelter is funded solely by donations, adoption fees, and its own fundraising efforts. CHA's mission is to provide safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, education, and community outreach. Got a puppy from this shelter back in April , staff was great and we found a great dog. Puppy’s are 300$ but we couldn’t be happier about being our dogs forever home!.

An absolute pleasure to go there and find my new kitten. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. I'm glad I went!

We adopted “Ivory” who is now Mabel on September 21. She’s a beautiful Pyrenees mix and such a sweet little girl. CHA was crazy busy last Saturday and we enjoyed the process of adoption. Such a wonderful facility with caring volunteers. We look forward to many years ahead with her living her best life
