“Stopped in to see what kind of candy they had. They have quite a selection. Candy from your childhood corner store to candy from overseas. They have novelty from tv to movies. They also have some bulk candies, sodas, chocolates, hard tack, gummies, and Pez. The parking lot has about 7 spots. Getting in and out of the lot is fairly easy. There is a ramp to get onto the step into the building. If using a wheelchair, the inside is tight. You can maneuver, but it will be tight. The person at the counter greeted me with a smile. It is a small local family business and need to be supported.
Parking: Small lot about 7 spaces. 1 handicapped spot.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to sidewalk. A little tight for a wheelchair but ok.”
“We've come here for tours at least 3 times over the last few years. The tour is very affordable for a family, and it's well done. It's a great look behind the scenes and very interesting to learn more about.”
“I visit several times a year to buy their Buckeyes, cherry cordials, and assorted chocolate boxes. Staff is always friendly. They haven't (yet) increased their prices even when everything else has increased. I love this place and especially the products they sell!”

“A bit hard to find, since they've moved from a storefront to an office in a nondescript building. Follow your GPS. It is just to the north of Wendy's, and you can turn in off High or down the little alley that runs directly behind Wendy's. They don't have the nostalgia candies anymore, but they do have plenty of good chocolates. The owner was super friendly, give me a couple samples and asked my tastes to figure out what I might like. I ended up with a pound of turtles and some chocolate covered pretzels. They are very very very good. You can buy them by the pound, although I think you can also get a half pound or whatever. But hey, it's good stuff, and although I will try to make it last, I know it will be gone pretty soon. Walk-ins are only on Wednesdays, so check their website for hours. Most of their business is online, and they have free delivery to a lot of Columbus, so that is probably a good idea for most. I happened to be nearby and made sure I came during their open hours. But hey now, free delivery of excellent chocolate? I will keep that in mind as a gift, or as a gift for myself.”
“It's like you are going back in time when you walk in here. Only thing that has changed is their prices. Still has the old time smell and decor. Anthony Thomas is definitely a place you know won't ever change. The smell alone brings back childhood memories!”
“Have taken my children there when they were young and now just took my grandson! Quaint spot with a mixture of never seen oddities, seldom seen, and seen in every corner store. Plethora of soda flavors- buy a 6pk and mix and match. Also every taffy flavor image (buy bulk/weighed).”
“I needed a large order filled, so I called ahead. They had it ready and waiting for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Parking: Parking is awkward. Better signage would be helpful.”
“Our son and family live in Bexley and sent us a nice selection of Anthony-Thomas candy last Christmas, so when we visited them last week we had to visit the Bexley shop also. Sandy was very welcoming and took time to see that we got what we wanted. We bought some for ourselves and some to take back home to Arkansas for family and our fave neighbors. They lose a star for not allowing even customers to use their restroom. That is just tacky.”
“Very limited stock- the owner kindly let me know it was a result of a broken belt and chocolate shortage.
That said there were no samples.
The brittle was good and the buckeyes were reminiscent of homemade.
We paid $20 for 6 small buckeyes and a carton of brittle.
Inside is dated and has an odd smell. The carpet is likely as old as the store. That said, I would try them again closer to chocolate season, which I was told is Christmas to Easter.

“Definitely ask how to make bags of candy, I wasn't weighing my bag and an employee suggested that I weigh my bag before getting more and I was already at a pound!!! It was definitely worth it really good candy and I had fun picking it out”
“Anthony-Thomas has been our go to goodie shop for many years. The treats are always amazing and so is the service. BUUUUT I have one legit complaint. Please stop printing the prices on the bags/wrappers of the items. ?. I also think it would be cool if you maybe pushed the envelope on some new goodies, flavor combos etc. However, my only real complaint is the price on the package which makes it difficult for Easter baskets etc.”

“Such a cute little place! It’s great to buy gifts for chocolate lovers. It’s a little pricey but the chocolate is high quality and rich. A good stop for an after meal sweet at Schmidt’s sausage haus.”
