Well went in today to buy a 1400.00 rifle but I guess the employees were playing hide and seek that's ok my money will spend at another store guaranteed I won't be back

I am writing this review due to recent events about an event that happened months ago. I had found the Henry AR-7 a survival .22 long rifle on the website and notice it had been marked down. So I went in to go take a look and purchase it. An employee named Jay called my name and I explained that I was looking for the Henry AR-7 (mind you it's called the AR-7 this doesn't mean it's an "AR") he off the bat had a horrible attitude and claimed that Henry didn't make a gun called the AR-7. I'm not expecting everyone to know every single model of gun that is out there, so I calmly pointed the gun out on the display shelf. He claimed I had to be 21 to purchase the firearm (which is completely false because I now own the same gun...) and when he eventually found himself out of excuses, he cussed out myself and my friends and was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. There were other factors to why we think he was being so unpleasant but I won't go into that now. We reported this issue to management and even though our great friend Jay had gotten into trouble for this same reason nothing was done. He had also lied to management and claimed that the reason he got mad was that it was while I was filling out paperwork for the rifle, if that was the case that would be understandable. But it wasn't the case at all, he had had his little outburst far before a form was even mentioned. We were given a gift card which was a nice gesture. This event did happen months ago as I previously mentioned, but we recently discovered that he is still is talking bad about myself and my friends and is still salty about all this. If you go to Cabela's, I'd stay clear of the gun counter if Jay is working. He is extremely unprofessional, clearly needs to brush up on some gun knowledge and clearly has a hard time letting things go.

Online store will send you broken items and items that are the wrong size. In store customer service will not help with this either because “that’s not how the system works”.I got a red head jacket as a Christmas present, and one of the buttons was broken so I took it back into Cabelas in store to do an exchange. In-store customer service said that they could not do an exchange and had to return the item and I would have to order it on my own. So I ordered the item on my own and three days before it was supposed to arrive. I got an email saying that it was out of stock. I called Cabela’s to which I was told. I had to continue to check to see when it would be back in stock. One month later I order the item that is now back in stock. Five days after I order the item it comes in in the wrong size. I Called Cabela’s again, and there is nothing that they can do to help me with this other than returning and continuing to check and try again.

Change your google hours to match your actual winter business hours. Online shows you close at 9p and you have a piece of paper on the door that says 8p. It takes two minutes to change them on google for winter hours and 2 minutes to change them back when you’re ready. Made a 45 min drive to show up at 804p and couldn’t shop, I wasn’t the only one, two other folks walked to the door and turned around upset.

I love this place but some of the employees are too rude and arrogant. Never visit this place at night they are terrible

Some good deals. Huge clearance. Very crowded inventory. Guess I am pretty spoiled with the dundee michigan one which is huge. But I did like this one.

Been coming here for 5+ years and I think it's time to update my review due to the stupidly long wait times.I mainly go to the gun counter for firearms, optics, etc. and my experience in the past year has been dismal due to the wait times. Expect to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple of hours. It looks like 1-2 employees are at the counters on a typical day. Some days it's so bad the store closes and they turn people away that have been waiting. My last major purchase on a rarer gun took almost a 3 hour wait because there was 16+ in line and only one person at the counters. What's annoying is that high-demand stuff like the gun library requires that wait so I can't even go in to browse. I've asked other passing employees and they just direct me to the iPad to sign in. I've decided to stop coming to this location and instead just wait for FFL transfers to local gun stores that have no wait.
