Has books, but lacks any discernable reason for the layout. When I asked where a particular book would be, they just pointed and said in that area. Should have bought tarot cards to see if finding that book was in my future.

The Store Is not getting any new merchandise in.
.
The store is moving to the Former Bed Bath and Beyond across the street.
I needed to return something a young girl up front. She had long blond hair. I think she was new? Told me she couldn’t help me.
So someone else Helped! The other girl was being taught by her.. She seemed completely dis- interested and downright rude.
If you’re going to work in retail maybe you need some customer service coaching?
I do understand that everyone has bad days.

This is for the 161 location. Love taking my girls here but twice now I’ve had this cashier that is a complete grouch! Has a total chip on her shoulder for some reason…..acts like
I’m a total inconvenience just for requiring her to check me out??? The receipt doesn’t have a name but just a cashier number….

Can always find great gifts at this store. If what I want isn't in stock they will order it for me

Management’s priorities are very much in the wrong places. The store is very unclean, especially the bathroom and cafe area.
Surrounding libraries are cleaner, more extensive, and you get to read the books for free! Surrounding Half Price Books have much cheaper merchandise and a better atmosphere. Independent book stores have much more character and a better curated selection.
This cafe serves Starbucks food and drink, but doesn’t accept any Starbucks gift cards or discounts. There is a single outlet in the cafe, usually occupied, so also not an ideal place to get work done.
I don’t really see the need for this place.

Not bad. Mostly got manga. They have wide variety of things plus a little restaurant on the side. They have toys, puzzles, local history. I mostly just got manga and some novel things. As a nerd, I didn't find much good fiction or adventure or science fiction. For me personally, I didn't find much I like and don't know if I will return. I also bought 2 cds. I do prefer the Mentor Barnes and Noble as their selection was much better.

On 10/20 around 1 or so I came to this location in search for a book for
my friends birthday coming up. I wanted to buy her a book, any book, about the Menendez brothers. I stumbled around & my eyes weren’t finding it so I decided to use the “help” desk. Logical thing to do I figured. I waited as the lady and the man working the desk helped others ( walked them to the books they were looking for ) when it was my turn I approached the lady working the desk and at first the greeting was very friendly. I asked if she could find me any book about the brothers to buy. BIG MISTAKE apparently. She rudely informed me “This isn’t a library, if we had it, it would be in true crime” - patrons behind me laughed and I instantly felt belittled and ashamed. What was wrong with my question? I informed her “I know this isn’t a library” I said I figured maybe you could help look up a key word or so forth in the computer like you can do on the Barnes and noble website. She rudely states one more time “Again, this isn’t a library” I was so taken aback by this statement because idk if she was trying to question my intelligence or what so I replied “ I know this isn’t a library I’m not here to check books out I’m here to purchase a book about the brothers for my friend, any book.” I started to walk off she then said wait and had me come back to the desk ( I should have kept walking as the interaction continued to worsen ) where I watched her enter Menendez into the system and she said we have “4 books here about them” I asked can you take me to the first one on the list , as I’m just trying to grab any book, buy, and go! She said rudely “again, like I said, it’s in the true crime section”. I don’t understand what was so awful about the help I was asking for. To be talked down like that. Of course I know this isn’t a library. I don’t have a library card to Barnes and noble , I’m here to PURCHASE!!! Why can’t I be offered the same amount of help the people infront of me were offered. Leaving the desk & so kindly helping them find what they wanted on shelves. I started to walk off thinking fine. I’ll try to find it myself, but as I was walking away I was so ashamed with the way she spoke to me infront of others, my anxiety was radiating, my cheeks were hot and tears were brimming at my eyes. I decided to leave the store right away. I made the drive over to the Barnes and noble at Polaris. Asked the same question at the same “help desk” and the guy there was so kind, he brought me over right away to a book about the brothers, no smart comments needed, I purchased the book as I just wanted to do all along. I Struggle with severe social anxiety and I have a hard time approaching people with questions or for help out of fear, due to that anxiety. So taking the time to look myself is always what I try to do first , to make it easier on me and for staff. When I finally admit defeat then I force myself to get help. That interaction unfortunately as small as it was I’ll never forget because all I wanted was a little help and I was made to feel like that’s the worse thing I could of asked for. Atleast the experience I had at Polaris helped show me that what I was asking for wasn’t wrong. I just must of caught your employee on the absolute wrong day :/

It's a Barnes and Noble, smaller than most means smaller selection but I like it.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff when purchasing a new nook to replace the old one that was no longer going to be supported.

Not all Barnes & Noble’s allow dogs but this one does, so long as your dog is leashed and stays out of the Café area.

So great to still have a book store to wander and enjoy and find new books to read regardless of their age (or mine)
