I went in on Friday to get an intake camshift position timing part and they sold me the exhaust one. The next day, without realizing it, I went to another Auto zone and bought what I thought I needed the exhaust. So I pretty much bought 2 of the same part because they were too incompetent to double-check and ensure that I had the right part.

I brought my battery in to this store a couple weeks ago because my car wouldn’t start and this is the closet auto shop near my place. The first guy I talked to attached a tester to it and showed me that it was low. He advised I get a new battery but that he would put it on a charger for me over night in case that does anything. When I came in b4 work the next morning, another person brought my battery out and acted like he tested but told me he wasn’t getting any read from it. He flat out assured me the battery is fully dead and should’ve never even been put on a charger. I was confused and explained to him that the guy the night before told me it was at least functional, just not at full capacity. But he kept telling me it’s no this thing is dead.
I thought nothing of it and decided ok time for a new battery and asked him what options they had for my car to which he quickly pulled up their site to sell me on one. As he was doing so I remembered I had gotten mine at Advanced Auto Parts some 6 years ago and figured I’d just go get that same brand again. I went directly to Adv. Auto, and decided u know what let me see what they would say and asked the clerk to test it for me without mentioning the situation that took place at this Autozone. Within seconds he showed me the numbers the reader show and it was consistent with it being at full capacity for the specific battery, but just a bit over charged for some reason (*autozone left it on the charger overnight) told me my car not starting should not be due to the battery.
I was in disbelief. That meant the employees at this store at least the bold guy who I assume is a manager (wish I’d gotten his name) flat out lied to me to scheme money out of me. NEVER taking my business to this store again.
I went home and hooked the battery up and my car started perfectly. (I later found out from a family member that I had forgotten my lights on in the car. Must’ve been what drained the battery). Thanks for charging it up for me I guess.

These guys are superb. First guy (didn't catch his name) was helping a customer but called for his coworker to help me. Jay helped SO MUCH! He made sure I needed a battery before I paid for one. He was outside at my car for quite a while, checking my old battery and alternator, then putting in my new battery. Super nice and friendly while keeping me informed on every single thing. THANK YOU, JAY!!!
