Black Bird Farm came to our rescue when the previously booked wedding venue cancelled on my son and daughter-in-law just 2 months prior to their wedding day, but it turned out to be such a blessing! This venue is well cared for and beautiful! They take great pride in what they have to offer, as they should. We had a few minor hiccups along the way but, when wedding day came, the owners made sure we had everything we needed and were well taken care of. To top it all off, then sunset views were spectacular!

Terrible communication from the staff at Black Bird Farm and being that’s one of the most important things when it comes to a wedding venue, I 10/10 CANNOT recommend this place. We arrived for our tour today and before we were even able to get started, the owner and her daughter apologized as they “forgot” to inform us before our tour that they will be changing the way they host weddings. As currently stated on their website, what we were looking for was going to be around a $5,000 price range (a Friday wedding in 2024), but upon arrival we were told that starting in 2024 that will be switching to all inclusive weddings which will possibly increase the price of a Friday wedding by almost 3x the original price, as they weren’t able to quote me a price today. We booked our tour almost 3 weeks ago, and in that 3 weeks the owners decided there wasn’t a good time to reach out and inform us of their changes. We drove almost an hour to view the venue and didn’t stay for more than 10 minutes, it was a complete waste of our time. If you’re looking for a venue with good communication and humble staff, then this IS NOT the venue for you.

As a wedding photographer I get the opportunity to visit many venues! I will always be excited to photograph a wedding here! If you are looking for a wonderful place for a rustic wedding you have found it. From the farmhouse, to barn, to the country views this place is beautiful. I always love when couples have a venue that allows for all parts of the day to happen in one place. Here, there is not only a stunning bridal suite, but a handsome groom suite as well, allowing us more time to capture candids with the groom! Being able to photograph portraits of the bride & groom on site also reduces the amount of time your guests are waiting after the ceremony should you choose a traditional timeline. The owners and staff are kind and easy to work with!

Black Bird Farm is a special multi-purpose venue for all sorts of events and workshops. It offers a converted barn or quaint farmhouse to hold your function or gathering. I've attended two hands on art workshops at Black Bird Farm. I was very impressed with the atmosphere the setting promotes, and wonderfully pleased with every aspect of my experience there. A true gem in rural NW Ohio.

The way this venue is handle is TERRIBLE. After we had signed the contract, they notified us of numerous HlDDEN FEES that added $600+ to our total price. Also, the daughter decided to harass the bride & bridal party on the day of the wedding. Terrible attitudes and terrible leadership. No communication between those in charge/helping out with this place. Beautiful place but wasn't worth the cost or added stress.

Our daughters wedding was last Saturday, it was very beautiful, and everything went very well, expect 3 things. Owners husband and wife where very nice to my wife and i, asking through the night if we needed anything and if everything was ok.Now for the bad, unfortunately it didnt have to happen the way it did. But i still cant believe it happened.The 1st thing, setup day of wedding! We asked if we could setup the day before, and we would pay a fee if we could, absolutely not, they replied! Every place i called offer that but this place, it would have made things easier, not a rush the day of the wedding.2nd thing, which absolutely turned me away from this place, i was told earlier in the night that security would be coming, because of the alcohol?? Turned out to be a deputy sheriff in full gear!!!! That stood by the bar from the time he got there until i left with everything loaded up in my truck and trailer, he followed off property!!! He could have showed presents, then sat outside or in his vehicle! Not right beside bar, i will say he was very nice.3rd thing, the groom asked dj to play the WAP, This was at the end of the night, everyone was gone expect family, the owner came up to dj and groom and was very rude asking to turn song off, then she shut dj down, money was paided to rent this barn and dj, she had no right saying anything!! If you didn't like it go outside but to get into it with dj and groom, unbelievable!!!Like I said before, everything was perfect, but i cant overlook the 3 things that happened, i have been to many wedding reception from people houses to very nice upscale businesses, like the armory in napoleon ohio. Never have a seen a deputy sheriff at a wedding reception, alot of people left when he showed up,I would definitely look elsewhere, dont let this happen on your special day that you want to remember forever.
