John is a transmission specialist and has rebuilt, swapped out, or replaced at least 8 transmissions for me and not once have I had to return for a problem with the work he performed. He also occasionally does non-transmission work for me and he will stand by every repair he performs.

Trustworthy. My everyday work vehicle was having transmission issues. I took this to Johnny and he diagnosed the issue within hours. The prices were very fair and I have had no further issues with my vehicle. Quick repairs and great results. Do not let these other bogus reviews scare you , I did not and couldn't be happier.

I believe John is the owner he's a very nice man and very good at what he does prices are very reasonable and he delivers on time I highly recommend this Auto clinic if you want your car fixed right the first time that's where you go.

When i was informed by 1st machanic transmission blew on car less tgan 68k miles it made me worry .. i Instantly contacted Johnny for 2nd opinion, since he rebuilt 2011 Cruz transmission& computer replaced No Problems Jan 2018. I wanted somebody who i thought could do tge work.. Nov 27, 2018 Johnny informed me trans est.would be about $2,000 required $1,000 cash down and other $1,000

Unfortunately my bank sent the check i deposited back 2 me(idk why still bc cleared later no prob).I let him know of it then my life imploded into Devastation few days after xmas. Unexpectedly told my mom did Not have long 2 live.Johnny had texted me 2 find out $ when i informed him situation he was VERY UNDERSTANDING.. I called 2 get est. @ other shops(All between $1,600&1,800)Tbh $check $ used 2 help cover my mons funeral bc No INSURANCE.This is whyI DIDNOT MIND paying Johnnys more expensive $$ price $$ bc he was beyond UNDERSTANDING of everything my car was there over 2months.. Well I paid Feb11 $2,300 CASH on monday following Monday asked estimate of pick up day for car, he replied "Wednesday" then it came& i txt ask what time p/u car. Text replied "Car wasn't done yet he call2 lmk when FINISHED" thurs,Friday weekend too.. No update, Nothing.. Text came mon/tues afternoon lmk i could pu following morning ...Personally it was such a Hassle but i felt like bc it took me time 2 pay so...Finally i got car, before i was out parking lot even i Noticed Shifter & dash were NOT LINING UP!!! I Now have 2 jiggle shifter 4 dash2 show gear!!! I let it go, drove it home but NOW im Afraid 2 Drive it bc something is gonna happen.Friday, I took back 2 show& asked him adjustment.. tbh i felt like xar linkage from transm to shifter was off.. I explained it needed pushed together a TAD.Johnny went out LOoked under hood said it wasnt on him, suggesting it was in the shifter...What bothered me is A.) How did he NOT NOTICE this after trans fixed didbt he test drive it??!!??B.) Even if it WASN'T ANYTHING 2 Do w his work why didn't he Notice, lmk so he could FIX WHILE CAR RIPPED APART ALREADY!!!But how DOES HIM WORKING on MY TRANSMISSION NOT HAVE 2 DO w SHIFTER??? Everything 2 do w one another..Transmission won't work if I cant shift..EVEN mechanic i talked to Sat while getting oil changed looked at me funny when i stated this info..MY CAR NEVER ANY ISSUES DASH/ SHIFTER GEARMy key did get stuck i. Ignatin 2wks b4 trans blew but Didn't effect shifter&dash light4 gear.Last yr when my johnny rebuilt my sis transmission ALL her fluids were changed, full ect. I'm just ysing as comparison on the care she got vs me.. smh

True transmission expert and master mechanic. We have had 3 different vehicles have transmissions failures and all have ended up being diagnosed and resolved by Johnny. Each one was done correctly and drove perfect. The real kicker is my vehicle broke down in Cincinnati, I left it at a local reputable shop to diagnose and each attempt they failed to find the problem. 8 months and $1300 later I decided to trailer the car back up North to have Johnny look at it. Within 2 days Johnny found the issue (electrical) and resolved it. Since my car sat for so long, I also needed all new brakes and brake lines and within a week I was cruising in my car again. I work on my own cars to an extent but when I need a true mechanic I reach out to Johnny. I have been treated with great customer service and honesty each time.

I paid Alex Saade of Gold Class Motors $3000 for re reconditioned transmission. What I got was a junkyard transmission with a recently changed Torque Converter. Alex took my car to Auto Clinic & Transmission By Johnny 5 on 11470 Hawke Rd, Columbia Station, OH who provided a receipt for a Rebuilt Transmission - Rebuilt Torque Converter. The invoice had the price blacked out. I did not permit for Alex to have Johnny 5 buy a junkyard part and to fix a torque converter. Most mechanics will advise against this because it doesn't guarantee that it would fix the problem and its costly job. I never agreed to have this done!!! Long story short, this mechanic refuses to provide receipts from where the transmission/torque converter came from and refuses to give me the price that he paid. I was charged $3000 for this job, and I had to get my transmission replaced after Alex put 'Auto Clinic & Transmission By Johnny 5' into my car. My advice to anyone getting a transmission job - GO TO A REPUTABLE COMPANY! This guy is the junkyard mechanic who is overpriced and will only cause you to lose more money to have the job redone. I may have lost money, but I'm writing this review, so you do not make the same mistake as I did. Please be cautious.
