4 out of 5 "western union" locations will refuse to complete western union transactions; especially if you are receiving money from a sender. Gas Stations will claim their machine is not working, a Walgreens once told me that they did not have enough cash on hand to complete the transaction (mind you I wad receiving $40.00) and most banks who claim to do western union will insist that you must open a bank account in order to receive the money, to have it deposited into your account before you can actually receive your cash! I have had my best luck receiving money via westen union at Rite Aid. I would recommend using Walmart if you are going to send or receive cash from any person since their fees are considerably cheaper than Western Unions fees and Wal-mart money services will not refuse service for senders/receivers. Wal-mart money services is simple and can be done at any walmart location! Senders may need to enter a Wal-mart store number where the receiver will be picking up their cash. However, this system is far more simple and much quicker than any other money transfer service! All you need to pick up your cash is a valid ID with your name. The sender pays the fee, which I believe is under $20 for amounts up to $2500.00. Lesser amount range from $3.50-5.00 and from $9.00-14.00. Western union will charge $10.00 to send $40.00, for comparison.
