Best place to hold a book club meeting. The ambiance is wonderful. I love it that they sell wine and beer. They are super easy to work with. And it's just a really cool bookstore

Had the privilege to visit this neat place tucked away known mostly to the locals, I once worked for the owner in another one of the business's and truly enjoyed this nice little place.
Had several books I've never heard of nor seen.
Want to go back, and will in time.
The staff was nice, very polite.

I found a VVB book on AbeBooks and thought to pick it up locally to save on shipping. The book is a locally published history "One Hundred Years of Green Americans in Cleveland 1894-1994" - co written by Mike Vasilakes who passed 12/26/23 and at whose funeral 1/6/24 his book will be featured. Well wasn't I pleasantly surprised by this delightful bookstore on the 2nd floor above a bar - VVB serves wine and beer! I had to order a glass of red, and then peruse the collection. I'm a collector of Cleveland books of history, bibliophilia, and sci-fi. My fav sci fi is Zelazny's Roadmarks, which was written in Northeast Ohio and features Kent State University, and two AI books of poetry, "Flowers of Evil" and "Leaves of Grass." VVB had a nice translation of Baudelaire's Fluers du Mal in translation and I had never read it. Well I don't mind blaming the delicious glass of wine on prompting me to purchase the 2nd book, and enjoy it. And I do. I've read Baudelaire's preface already and can't wait to dip further into the book. Thanks VVB!

I really wanted to like this bookstore because it came highly recommended. The aesthetic was quite nice but I was not acknowledged by any employees for the duration of my visit. I witnessed the staff engaging with other visitors but no one greeted me, offered any assistance, or acknowledged my existence. I browsed some titles, and wasn't that interested in what I saw, but definitely would have lingered longer if I felt more welcome. I'd like to give it another try and visit the pizza shop as well but I'm unlikely to return. I hope your experience is better than mine.

The vibes are so chill. It felt like you were away from the Ohio city and Tremont madness and in a place where you can just relax and lay back. I love it here. The bottles of wine are perfect for a date night if you like books like me.

Despite seeming small, you could look around for a good hour or two, as it's fairly well curated. You might find a treasure you'd been looking for for years. Clean, modern, nice music and staff. Reasonable prices for the used books, which are mixed in with the new. Greeting cards, zines, a staff picks section. There is a little area with four or five really nice table and chair sets, to sit and read or have coffee or wine. It's dusty though, and very loud from the AC.

Cute book store and cafe. I will say it was hard to find since it was upstairs but we found it eventually. There is seating if you order coffee. The store is small but well laid out in sections. I love the display of stacked books. We didn't purchase anything but the employee greeted us.

They have an impressive selection of titles, so vast that it usually takes me a while to find one I want to commit to. It's awesome that Tremont has a bookstore like this, it's perfect to walk to from anywhere in the area.

Great shop with an abundant and well constructed collection of books. Lots of art, music, children's, and cook books on top of the novels.

Great curation of books. Knew that I wouldn’t leave disappointed and I didn’t. Can’t wait to go back!

Super cool second hand locally owned bookstore on the second floor of a building on top of a coffee shop! Full of second hand books and new books. On top of books they also sell cards and fun little knick knacks! There's also a cute cafe area with free WiFi where you can work and have a nice cup of coffee. The reason why I am not eating it five stars is due to the lack of accessibility for people who may be handicapped. Hopefully they will be able to expand this location or move/expand to one that is! I have high hopes for this business!

I love love love this little bookshop. You can grab a glass of wine or a coffee and browse their small, well-curated selection of books. This store helps build community by featuring events with local musicians and authors.
