Very clean, great location. When we booked we didn't realize it was part of the Christmas Story situation, we just wanted a clean place to stay. The next morning there were crowds right outside our window to tour the house next door. So if you don't like that don't stay here but otherwise a great experience. The inn across the street is delicious and convenient for grabbing a late night drink or food.

The Christmas Story House was so much fun! The House was a fun interactive museum and included all the know-and-love props from the movie. I recommend this Cleveland Original.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE “A Christmas Story” so when we saw it was near to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it was a “must” for me and my boys! It’s a little pricey - and even though the website says they have a military discount, I was told, “due to COVID, everyone was being charged the full fare.” (I am willing to bet the owner, a USNA grad like myself would be unhappy to learn this.)But I love the movie and thoroughly enjoyed the brief walk down memory lane and the laughs w my boys, aged 13 and 17.I also like the story of the owner, as I had read about it years ago and many of the staff were able to provide personal anecdotes about him and his building the museum from his leg lamp store And the story behind his leg lamp.I enjoyed this more than the RnR HoF (I triple dog dare you to read that review before driving to Cleveland!)YOU’LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!

Awesome place to stay. Very clean, beds are very comfortable, the nostalgic of the house is something to see. They have everything you need if you forgot something. The housekeeper was very very nice. Oh and I cant forget to mention the restaurant across the street. Wow awesome food.

Getting to stay in the Bumpus house along with touring the Christmas Story house and museum was the highlight of our trip. We are definitely Christmas Story nerds so this was a dream come true. The stay in the house was awesome. We were able to watch the movie while we played the Christmas Story game. The property was extremely nice and very clean. Very tasteful vintage décor while still offering updated amenities. We had dinner & breakfast at the Rowley Inn across the street and it was some of the best food we had on our trip. We travelled over a thousand miles for this and it was so worth it. If you are a Christmas Story fan this needs to be on your list of must do things.

My family loved our stay at the Bumpus House. We stayed in the Stolen Turkey suite (2nd and 3rd floor). The suite had two full bathrooms, one upstairs with two single beds and one on the main floor with a living room, dining table, microwave, fridge, sink, and two bedrooms. Parking was in a private lot with designated spaces. We stayed during the "Great Ohio Freeze" from the polar vortex. The office was closed and it seemed to cause a but of confusion since we didn't get our museum/tour tickets. My one compliant is that I was awoken at 2:45am from the large factory that was situated down the hill from the house. It was a constant, deep humming/grinding. Other than that we had a great time. Please note that none of the bedrooms have a TV in them. The suite was immaculate and comfortable.

Very cool old building. My room was large and very clean. Wooden floors makes me happy - no dirty carpet here.
