“Nice local garden center with healthy plants at reasonable prices. They pack a wide variety of plants in a pretty small footprint.
Good place to pick up veggie and herb starts in the spring. I also like that they have a section of native perennial flowers.
They have some garden merchandise available inside the little building like gardening tools, organic fertilizer, bamboo stakes, etc.
Small parking lot with about six spaces, but there’s street parking on Detroit Ave and the adjacent side street too, so I’ve never had a problem finding a spot.”

“I can't say enough about this place. The staff were so friendly and very knowledgeable. They don't just work here, they know what they're talking about so you are set up properly to be successful in your outdoor plans. They have everything organized and properly labeled. A large inventory of plants, trees and shrubs, and lawn decor such as planters and figurines. If you have bulky items, they load your vehicle and take their time in ensuring they are transported safely and are cautious around your vehicle. Their prices are comparable to other places, but their quality is better in my opinion. I am more than thrilled with my first time here and will be back for all my landscaping needs.”
“Very nice, but small garden center, but every year somehow they find new unique perennials to offer and always have stunning annual displays in pots, beds and hanging baskets; any of the big garden centers would be envious. Like a mini botanical garden, but better bc they have an outdoor café with live music, but that’s not the only live things: there’s also chickens and goats! I came for their herbs, vegetables, perennials and fun garden decor, but we stayed for the lively outdoor ambiance, drinks and music. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.”

“So, I used to dread shopping at the Steelyard Commons Home Depot, because you could never find help or associates would see you coming, like you had a question, and make a beeline the other way. But I must say, the last couple times I've been there, I've been lucky enough to encounter Greg. Greg is so helpful, and you can tell that he really doesn't mind, and in fact wants to help you. If he doesn't have the answer, he'll stick with you until he gets one. Home Depot needs more associates, with great attitudes like Greg!”

“I have been going to Wilson's for decades. They have a great selection of wild bird feed as well as feed for any animal to want to accommodate in your yard. I generally don't feed in the summer but they have a great stock all year. They also offer feed for domestic animals from horses to dogs to things I probably know nothing about. The staff is always friendly and happy to help with any questions.”
