My most recent bride bought and altered her dress from Miranda’s Vintage Bridal and the dress fit her so well and photographed flawlessly. Such a cool non traditional option for bridal dresses that I would recommend to all of my brides looking for a more vintage and creative alternative to dress shopping!

I came to have my wedding dress altered here prior to my wedding in June 2023. Their policy is to have 3 in-person fittings prior to the date of the wedding. At my first fitting, we discussed changes to the dress and pins were placed throughout from top to bottom. I also got a price estimate at $740 including an itemized breakdown of all the costs, and agreed to this price. When I came for my second fitting a few weeks later, only the bust was altered, and the majority of the dress had not been worked on. All the pins on the bottom were gone. They apologized and said they had "forgotten" about it. All the pins had to be re-placed which took a long time. I asked for an additional fitting as well, because the second appointment was unfortunately a waste of my time, which they obliged to. At the third fitting, the dress was becoming more fitted, except the bust was a bit too tight. They said they would loosen it up just a bit. I picked up my dress one day before the wedding. H At this time, I was told to pay $840, which was $100 more than the quoted price. In all of my fittings throughout 6 months, the price increase was never mentioned to me. They said the price increase was because there was work required than initially expected. Unfortunately I did not have a choice but to pay what they demanded, otherwise they would hold my $2000+ dress hostage. I find this to be an extremely shady business practice. I tried the dress on the morning of my wedding, and was shocked at how extremely loose the bust was. When I looked down, I could see so much of my boobs. I was uncomfortable throughout my wedding day as the dress felt so insecure at the bust. Going from way too tight, to way too loose, showed me that the alterations here are very haphazard. I had no time for an additional alteration and unfortunately trusted them to make the micro-adjustments based on their expertise. Overall, because of the poorly altered bust, "forgetting" to alter half the dress, and the extra charge out of left field before my wedding day with no notice, I unfortunately cannot give them a higher rating than 2 stars.

I had a wonderful experience working with Miranda and her team for my bridal alterations. Miranda is lovely and makes everything easy and stress free. She created a beautiful for bustle for my cathedral length train. It was easy to do and lasted all night without any issues!! I am so thankful for Miranda’s help creating my dream wedding dress. Her store is also beautiful!! I will miss going there.

I had such a lovely and easy experience here. Everyone was so sweet and made my wedding dress absolutely perfect. Me being about 5 feet, it’s hard to find a trustworthy seamstress and Miranda’s blew me away. 10/10 would recommend!

I love this place so much. I felt so cared for and supported during my shopping and alteration appointments! Miranda and Madison are simply the best. Madison was incredibly patient and helpful when I was trying on dresses. Miranda was so helpful and precise during the alterations; she has a keen eye for detail.I left with the most incredible dress that fit better than any other garment in my life!I highly recommend this place for both vintage and modern dress shopping. You'll be treated like an absolute queen.

Great service and Miranda is an expert in alterations. She did a great job on my dress. My only complaint; the shop has a really funky smell (like rotten food) and the bathroom was in need of a good clean!

For the bride looking for something different! Miranda's Vintage Bridal offers vintage dresses and modern dresses designed in a vintage style. I found this shop after looking through A LOT of bridal dress shops. All the modern dress shops carried the same or similar dresses. Miranda’s was the ONLY store that offered a true variety of dress styles.The customer service was fantastic. Miranda and Madison were amazing to work with. With Madison’s help I was able to find the perfect 1940s vintage wedding ball gown and modern reception dress in their shop. Madison was always kind and patient as I tried on a lot of dresses. Then Miranda was able to alter the dresses in the exact way I wanted. Their store also offers a variety of jewelry and headpieces (veil, crown, bridal hat, etc.) The store itself is very cozy, with relaxing wedding music playing and beautiful sunlight streaming in through the front windows. Highly recommended for the bride who’s looking for a different kind of dress, but still wants great customer service and ambiance.

Miranda was a pleasure to work with and she is so talented! I trusted my Pronovias bridal gown alterations with her and everything looked amazing. Initially the dress had a very revealing front, but with Miranda’s help and expertise, she made it look perfect and as if that is how the original dress was supposed to look like. She allowed me to choose the lace pieces (extras from the dress) and show her the overall vision that I was going for. One thing that I really loved was that she did not give me any push back with wanting the gown to be fitted and body hugging (like some seamstresses do). Miranda was able to do all of that for me and I felt like I was being listened to. I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout the whole process and each appointment was something fun to look forward to. The shop is super cute, customer service was great and there were lots of cute headpieces and accessories to browse through. So thankful for her and for her amazing comments. She was such a sweet and calming presence during this crazy time of planning!

This review relates to alterations only, I did not buy my dress from the shop. The final result of the dress was very good, which is the main point. The dress looked great and it fit me well. the work seemed to be high quality other than the cups in the bust which were not well secured and had to be adjusted on the wedding day. My constructive criticism all relates to the customer experience. The staff was friendly, but I had 4 appointments and every single one was late by at least 15 minutes. The first appointment began more than 20 minutes late, and I was waiting standing in my dress. Before my third fitting, I found that the alterations marked with pins in the hips had not been made, so Miranda had to run into the back to sew, which should have been completed before the final fitting. This was super concerning because I didn't want the work to be rushed, and this obviously caused me and my guest to run very late getting out of that appointment. Not all the alterations discussed initially were made by that final fitting, so an extra fitting was required as well.My final piece of feedback is around price. After the initial visit I was quoted a price. Of course I understood that this was not final, but I did expect the price to be representative of the final cost. The final cost was 15% higher than the initial quote, and at no time was any change in cost discussed with me. On the final bill items I didn't recognize were added (one of which was $90), price of agreed upon items changed, bustle count changed, and I was charged for the additional fitting that was required to complete the agreed upon work. The employee that checked me out wasn't able to clarify any of the changes. Obviously a wedding dress is a significant investment which I signed up for, and I'm happy to pay for high quality work, but the big gap between quoted and final price which was NEVER discussed with me during the process felt like a pretty significant bait and switch.Final conclusion - good work, lacking customer experience.

Miranda's bridal shop is the cutest little shop in Tremont that offers some incredible pieces to bring your bridal look together. I purchased a beautifully unique hair piece that I wore on my wedding day. While I was there, I also found some pretty pieces to wear at my rehearsal dinner as well. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Prices are good too. I was able to set up an appointment just to view accessories and they were dedicated to helping me find just the right pieces to compliment my wedding dress. Even if you already have your wedding dress, you should check out Miranda's for a veil, purse, jewelry, hair pieces, or belts.

I cannot thank Miranda enough for the whole alterations experience! She came recommended by the boutique I bought my wedding dress from.I always had so much fun coming in for my fittings and enjoyed all of my conversations with Miranda as I was standing in front of the mirror. The overall total was extremely reasonable. The dress fit and looked amazing! Highly recommend!
