Do not take your loved one to this hospital if you love them and want them to live. Otherwise, go for it.

Horrible hospital, my brother came in with serious injuries to his head and body and he wasn't seen by one doctor for 12 hours straight. He has obvious signs of severe concussion and should have been watched and taken care of instead we were pushed out and sent home just to have him throw up all night and have to be sent in another ambulance because there is a bleed in his head pointed out at new hospital that Metro said he didn't have. Fuck this hospital and they are directly responsible for the suffering and prolonged neglect, fuck your piece of shit hospital everyone should be fired there!

If you want to go to a medical center where appointments are cancelled and no one tells you, then this is the place for you. Took off work for a DR appointment scheduled over 6 mos ago that was cancelled however no one told me. Their excuse was that they have been trying to contact me since May - it is now August. REALLY??? By ESP???? Maybe by carrier pigeon. No one called, no one left a message. This is so horrible. Most of the staff there is incompetent to say the least. They have a few good docs but the customer service and appointment staff are HORRIBLE. I suppose they must have an IQ of under 50 to get hired there. I tried to get one appointment and called 6 times and left messages and still no one ever called me to set the appointment. Most of my appointments are cancelled and no one every lets me know. And then to reschedule, you have to wait another 6 mos. HORRIBLE HOSPITAL SYSTEM. If I could give them -10000 stars, I would.

Once I arrived by my very bumpy ambulance ride (no fault of the ambulance drivers just the way Cleveland roads are) I was admitted to the hospital and thankfully put into a room and not left in the hallway where I saw a lot of people. Every single nurse (and there were many) Were so kind and helpful and caring. I had to have my gallbladder removed so I met with the surgical team in the evening who were absolutely wonderful and explained everything that was going on. It turns out that I ended up having my surgery in the morning and I met with that surgical team who were just as wonderful, including the anesthesiologist he was so kind. I can't say enough for the wonderful care that I had from beginning to end of this awful pain I was experiencing, but the nursing and doctor staff at main campus were phenomenal. I was in very good hands, and I felt it. I am so grateful for the skill set that was given to these doctors that worked on me. I am home now and recovering and very grateful. I know people like to put bad things on yelp about hospitals and what not, but I believe some good feedback is also very important.

INEPT PROVIDERS!!! Also, don't waste your time bringing up your concerns to their Patient Relations Unit, they will ALWAYS side with MetroHealth! Save your frustrations and go elsewhere, I am.

The care I receive at Metro is always great. That's why I advocate for Metro all the time because of the care and the way that people treat you at that place. It's on like any other hospital. Thank you for all that you do

This is the 2nd time in 6 months, that I have been in Metrohealth's ER with my sister in law. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the medical staff here. And today, our nurse, Liz in particular. She is so kind and very, very professional. All the staff is. So far this morning, I have encountered a social worker, several nurses, several different doctors and cafeteria staff. Every person has gone out of their way to make this visit less difficult. It honestly takes a special type of person to work here. And Metro has found an abundance of great people. Thank you to each staff member in this ER. You all are AMAZING!

I had a wonderful experience there. I had rectal bleeding from something that happened to me the night before and they cared for me like I was one of their own. They stopped the bleeding shortly after they figured out what it was. I'm so grateful that they helped me.

Metro Health, while their staff is friendly, is the worst system I've ever encountered as a patient. It is not patient friendly to speak to doctors at all. Their scheduling schedules appointments for zoom instead of in person constantly when my family needs to be seen. They constantly decide to drop important blood work orders and then leave you no direct way to contact the doctor to fix it. No one is willing to see sick children anymore at primary care doctors for fear of Covid, even with proper masking, So we are constantly sent to express care instead of creating a baseline of health with your primary care provider. Worst system I've ever used, hands down.

One of the nurses here, Kathleen Primosch, made a comment online about how abuse victims shouldn't get medical treatment. I don't even use yelp but was APPALLED by the comments she left (especially as a nurse, how can you lack basic human empathy??) Just want everyone to know that these are the type of people who work here And who are in charge of making sure you get care. Stay safe ya'll.

Cleveland Heights Metro Emergency department is very unprofessional and inadequate. I took my mom in 3/4/23 with abdominal pain t 7am and they did not get her hooked up to an IV till after 1 pm. No one could find a vein to take her blood and it took someone from another department who came right in and got the job done. No diagnosis was given and the on call doctor suggested if she felt better than she could go home. No preventative measures nor a definitive diagnosis was given. She was still in level 10 pain. We refused to take no for an answer and got her admitted. She is still there with the same symptoms, being given pain meds and no prognosis. We will be transferring her to a new hospital soon. The atmosphere there is very nonchalant and unprofessional.
