Worker (Devon) was rude and unprofessional to my mother. Definitely do not recommend

My younger sister has been going to this salon since February. She started off with a consult and has been pleased with her hair.
She went in last week to get her hair done… was on time and my mom does not stay during the appointments
They have never had any complaints about her hair
A few days ago my sister asked my mom to leave a message for her stylist to give a call to ask her opinion on an extra service she was thinking of getting done at her next appointment..
For whatever reason. the owner called back later that day ..
My mom asked her if that was a service that would work with her daughter’s hair.
She was very rude and complained how they took too much time at their consult months ago and showed up late to a couple appointments.
The owner proceeded to say that their stylists there do not have time to call customers back
The First mistake in all this is the receptionist should’ve mentioned that stylist aren’t allowed to call.
Secondly, the owner should’ve never called if she was going to be unprofessional.
Third, the only mistake was my mom picking up the phone and having the owner take her bad mood out on somebody that’ she has only met once and didn’t even know her name.
The owner was irate and then hung up on my mom
The owner is right when she said that this salon is not the right one for them…And for the record my mom has never given a bad review, until now.

Devon gave me a great haircut. She listened well about my concerns about my crazy hair. It's difficult to find a hairstylist who loves to cut short hair. But she definitely wasn't afraid to dig in and cut it short. She really knows her stuff when it comes to a pixie cut. Thanks!

We're new customers. Loved our prior stylist but didn't love the environment. Way too cramped & uncomfortable so it was time to find somewhere new. This place was super easy to make an appointment. Everyone we encountered was welcoming. We love the services we received. The environment is comfortable. I love that we're not all staring at eachother. Happy so far.

The stylist are great. I sat and waited an hour and a half after my appt time. I kept being reassured that the stylist was on their way. However, from what I was told later the stylist thought they had the morning off. I was also reassured several times by the owner that I would be taken care of today and not to worry about the charge. I finally got service by a different stylist who was very pleasant and fit me in. I was switched over to the original stylist when they arrived who was also very pleasant. I felt the need to tip both stylist $20 each so I expected the payment to be $40 which would have been a tip for both stylist. Not paying attention I handed over my credit card and later saw the payment was $170. I called the salon and spoke with the receptionist that took my payment and she said she would review it with the owner and call me back. I never received the call and nothing was ever credited back to my card. I didn't even have a haircut just a trim. My hair color looked okay in the salon but when I saw it in regular light it was almost white. Not very happy with the whole experience.

I loved the stylists, they were very knowledgeable, kind and patient. They did a test strip on my hair because I had box dyed it about 8 weeks before my appointment. Unfortunately, it was recommended I not bleach it like I wanted to because it came back orange. The stylists definitely knew their stuff and gave me great information.My one issue would be the manager. I was told to wait in the chair for her and she would come by for some pricing information on extensions instead. She never came by. Eventually my stylist told me to go to the front and talk to her.When I did, I explained the situation. She told me I "learned my lesson" about box dyed. I'm very sorry that I want to cover my greys and can't afford a salon trip every 6 weeks. There's no reason to make people feel bad about it.I really enjoyed the stylists, they were five stars. But I won't be returning due to the manager being so rude. Yes, that may make me sensitive. But I was really excited about finally being able to afford to go to a salon and I was treated rudely. I'll find somewhere else.

Came here for a mens haircut & had Marilee. It was her first time doing my hair so I wasnt sure what to expect but she did a fantastic job & pretty friendly too.

I have been getting my hair done at Illusions Unlimited for years. Everytime, I go the stylists and staff are extremely welcoming and kind. Devon is always on top of the current hair trends and makes my hair look amazing. I know I can trust her to make my hair look its best. I am never disappointed with my highlights/haircut and always leave feeling so pampered!I also get my kids (3 and 5) haircut at the salon. They are very accomodating and sweet with them. My kids love going to a "grown up" hair place and getting treated special!Thank you, Devon and Illusions Unlimited staff for always being so kind and providing top notch services to me and my family.Services: Haircut

I highly recommend Illusion Unlimited! I have been going to Illusions Unlimited in Strongsville for over 10 years. The quality and service performed is outstanding! I have never been disappointed in a haircut, color, highlights or style! All the staff is very professional! The work they do on my hair and others I have seen having work done to their hair is amazing! The atmosphere of the salon is very relaxing too! I would definitely make an appointment at this salon if you are on the fence! They take pride in their work and clients!!Services: Haircut
