My aunt used to live here, across the street from 1956 - 1985. The Mryers Dairy was at 65th and Waterman, down the street at 65th and Bessemer used to be this huge hulking mass of the Sohio or Refinery #2 as we called it, it had 8 rail tracks at one time in 1965 now I think its a bike trail or will be soon. It was dotted with neighborhood Polock bars and we had our own theater, Olympia, bowling alley 20 Grand, elementary schools aro here (public)Barkwill, Willow, Mound, Union, AB Hart, Herrick, and South High. We even had Cleveland Pneumatic who made Boeing landing gear not far off. This park is in an historic area, its this history thar is missed today aming qbandoned houses and a weed deal here and there. We had our weed guy right there in the neighborhood in the 70's. We had our own library Broadway Branch and post office, Willow. We had our own Hospital St. Alexis so that is my memory of this area,, I was born here and left in 1980 but knew it well ftom as earliest memory I was 5 now am 63.

The park is in desperate need of a rennavation. The trash cans need to be emptied. The benches are dangerous.

Beautiful park. Nicely maintained. The park and community could benefit from a concrete basketball court though.

Nice park but it would be nice if the swings were better maintained

As far as parks go, we got grass, some broken swings and what usto be a ballfield. I will never understand what these Indian burial mounds are about in the corner. No one really bothers you around here because most of the nearby houses are abandoned. The surroundings look a bit bleak but if you have a dog or just want to use the field it's kind of nice. Neighbors that share a fence with the park like to holler at you or eye you down for whatever reason.
