Don’t let this little gallery slip through your visiting plans. Has great art, and jewelry for sale besides exhibits that are always changing with the artists present usually at openings.

Please stop in here when out and about on Cedar Lee. They showcase local artists with relatively affordable pieces. Our home is outfitted with art that we purchased here. We always stop in for the holiday shop to find great, local gifts. The volunteers are knowledgeable about the artists and are happy to share tidbits about the pieces. Support local artists!

This is a first, me resorting to posting a review about my experience, of an unfortunate nature with Heights Arts. I drop by the gallery, roughly a month ago to check out the type of art on hand. I was welcomed, made to feel comfortable, had a good impression of the place. I viewed a number of items, not necessarily committed to make a purchase. However, I continue to peruse the offerings, and I observe a piece of jewelry, a ring that caught my eye. The ring on hand was not my size, I was informed that it could be configured for my finger, so the measurement was determined, I expressed interest in making the purchase, and specifically asked to pay for the ring while there, was told that was not necessary. I departed the establishment shortly after providing details on how to contact me, expecting to be contacted when the ring was sized for me. I ended up calling the gallery roughly a month after intial visit. The female I spoke to appeared to be surprised to hear from me. I was no less surprised when she disclosed, the ring had been sold. She claimed that I seemed unsure about making the purchase, which if that were the case, why would I have offered to pay for it while on site. In addition, I returned to the gallery shortly after the initial visit because I lost my cell phone, and wanted to make sure they could reach me. It is so sad that people of color have to continue to put up with this kind of B.S. Do me the small favor, of treating me, the same way that you expect to be treated. It seems that too often the treatment is different towards a black man.
