This place was pretty cool. All of the impressive costumes from Parade the Circle are on display, there are murals, and at least 3-4 areas for making art. However, in spite of there being at least 5 employees or volunteers in the space, which was not busy (maybe only 10 total people), we had a hard time finding anyone to tell us what we were supposed to be doing in the drop-in art spaces. I believe each area had a prompt as far as what you could make with the materials, but only at one area did anyone tell us what the prompt was. Otherwise we were left to blindly try to figure it out. Benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were all busy with some behind the scenes work, and it’s a newish space, I think. So, hopefully they can iron that out or maybe just post a sign with the instruction or prompt so it doesn’t feel so chaotic. Have said that, I’m sure we’ll be back to check it out again sometime.

The community center offered free crafts for the kids and it was absolutely amazing! I have never been inside until today. We met local artist, made gift certificates, a lantern, gingerbread house, and a snow globe. They had a free performance at 1pm and local venders throughout. We will be returning!

Wow, this place is incredible! After driving past one day, it peaked my curiosity and I'm so glad that it did. Community Arts Center is a branch of the Cleveland Museum of Art and houses a gallery with lots of colorful, huge, exciting pieces of art created for and used during the Parade on the Circle! This gallery space is beyond inspiring which upbeat music playing and colors galore. They also have four art rooms decorated with large murals, tables, and art supplies. These rooms are set up with make-and-take art projects that are free to the community and they also offer art classes and events. This was such an amazing find and now I can't wait to bring all my friends here!
