Thankful I traveled to Cleveland Clinic and having Dr Scharpf as I my surgeon :) very caring hospital and doctors, same surgery would of been done here in Michigan U fo M, it would of been a multiple surgery and guaranteed trachea, thankful i left Michigan, they were very impressed with doctor Scharpf, they even thought with as much cancer I had he left some behind, and possible another surgery, He did not he got it all in one 7 hour surgery I'm thankful I decided to leave Michigan and got lucky got a surgeon that actually cared ( very hard to find anymore), I would highly suggest Cleveland clinic, and Dr Scharpf, and my surgery was not an easy one Thank you Dr Scharpf :)

I use to feel the Cleveland Clinic was a GREAT place to find help. Over the past few years they have forced me to change that opinion. Apparently when you get as big as they are you don’t have to care about patients anymore since you have so many. It’s a sad thing but nonetheless it has become true.

For a hospital that prides itself on being a "well oiled machine", the valet parking here is handled so poorly. Every time I come here, no matter how early I plan (20-30 mins early arrival), the valet parking gets you stuck in a forever cycle of rude employees screaming into your car.
It's stressful enough coming downtown for appointments; I'm too ill to walk from the garage so, sadly, I am stuck using thr atrocious valet. Protip: it is the worst in the AM before ~1030.

I had an issue with pediatrician and contacted the ombudsman. She was rood and lacked empathy. I feel that the cleveland clinic needs to hire more caring people when there are issues. I am truly unhappy with many years of a specific pediatrician. I hope that there will be a balance somehow. I don't need to give detail. Some doctors are not truly good at what they do. Some doctors are biased and don't ask the right questions.

I was admitted to the internal medicine unit for severe back/sciatica pain and all of the staff were very nice. They were helpful and they listened to my concerns. They were attentive and overall made me feel much better within the couple of days I had to stay. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because of the wait times to see the doctors. Sometimes it would take hours for doctors to make a decision for me and for me to see/hear from them. But they are doctors and very busy so it does make sense. Definitely would recommend though!

Just this week:
- I called my dad’s doctor and PA about a serious illness 5 times over 5 days and never got a call back.
- I was transferred 8 times to reschedule a time-sensitive gastro appointment that no one has managed to reschedule yet.
- I spent over an hour on hold (3 different calls) to schedule an oncology appointment and still never reached anyone .
The Cleveland Clinic is worse than the IRS or DMV. And the wasted time has resulted in substandard and dangerously delayed care for my dad.
The medical care is good or even cutting edge IF AND WHEN YOU CAN ACCESS IT. But good luck with that. I would only come here by choice if I had a condition that, literally, no one else could cure. If that’s not you, go somewhere else.

My granddaughter and I were treated with outmost respect. From Valet ,Security every department we went to. The staff was wonderful. Our main department was neurological. Wonderful!!!

The people at the clinic seem nicer and overall less nasty than the people at university hospitals
However, whenever I order my medical records from the clinic after a doctors visit, I can see that the Cleveland clinic practitioners, providers, and doctors just make stuff up!!!! There’s stuff in my medical record for that appointment that we never talked about!!! There’s information in there that’s wrong and I don’t know where they got it, they just make it up, I guess? There’s physical examination results when physical examination was never done. They just make stuff up!!! it’s wild !
And I’m so worried that it could cause an issue later on down the line with an emergency … it makes me really worried that they just *make things up and then put it in your medical record*
Unfortunately, there’s no real procedure for correcting my medical record. When you call and ask how to fix it there’s really no answer.
I would seriously advise any patient of the cleveland clinic to religiously order their records after every doctors visit. Some of the stuff that’s incorrect in my record is actually really dangerous for it to be incorrect. And again - no way to correct it.
It’s absolutely wild how the practitioners just make things up and put it in your record at the Cleveland Clinic.
I know the doctors and other medical practitioners are under stress, but it seems like corporate has stressed them out so much that they’re just padding the billing and padding the interaction in order to make it look like they’re more productive. This is dangerous for patients.

One of the best clinics in the world! Relative had a kidney transplant, was on a list for 2 weeks and got the kidney. They were very fast! Impeccable service and care. Highly recommend!

The main entrance on Euclid Avenue is a nigtmare!!! It is not clear where to drop patients off or where to pick them up. Cars are three deep and you are supposed to get a person in a wheelchair in SAFELY?
The valet people are rude, mean and disrespectful to people who are not using their services.
I strongly suggest to find a different drop or pick up spot.

I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital. They took excellent care of us when my daughter was born with severe birth defects and I am forever grateful for how they treated us. I would highly recommend to anyone going through a difficult pregnancy. So much love for the NICU team there.
