I don’t typically leave bad reviews, but my experience here was horrible. tldr; I missed a wedding ceremony because they had no cars available at my scheduled pickup time.I scheduled several days in advance and my pickup time was at 11am. I arrive at 10:40 and am told there are no cars available and he’ll call me in 45 minutes. I never received a call, so I tried to call myself. The number directed me to the main Budget customer service number, and the woman who answered there gave me the office’s fax machine number instead of the phone. At this point it’s 12:30, so I decide to just come back to the office. My car is back but still not ready. I didn’t get my car until 10 after 1. I missed a wedding due to how long I waited. The man wasn’t really apologetic. Do not rent from here if you’re on a strict time schedule.

Corporate is the worst. If you're going to be late just keep the vehicle until the next day because they are going to charge you for an entire day anyway and tell you that's just the way it is. This was my very first time using Budget/Avis and it will definitely be my last.

Never rent here. Even with already prepaid and confirmed reservation they did not give us the car, because we have debit instead credit card. The guy at the counter was of no help and was rude. Rent at enterprise instead.

Made reservation months ahead of time. Arrived to be told (along with half a dozen others who had reservations) “We have no cars. We hope to get some in.” They closed in one hour. No solutions offered as to what would happen if no cars were returned. Meanwhile they extended someone’s rental in front of us. It was a holiday weekend. He should have been sent to the end of the line because he DID NOT have a reservation for the date(s) he wanted the car for. His reservation had ended. Eventually we were lucky enough to get a car before closing. Very stressful. Very disappointing. Never again. Budget! Do not make reservations you can’t fulfill. And if a mistake happens, offer alternatives at minimal inconvenience to the customer.

The staff was very efficient and helpful. I was very happy with the way I was treated and the vehicle I was given. The whole process was handled professionally.

We had an excellent experience with Budget. We picked up downtown Cleveland and everything was excellent, very personable and great choice of vehicles. Drop-off was equally easy and nice. Car was great and comfortable and in perfect condition.

I agree with people about they are a scam. It took him forever to do my paperwork (and I prepaid). Then made my drop off time later after I stood there for a half hour waiting for him to deal with someone else. I was charged an extra time fee. Don’t do it. At first, I thought he was just dumb but now I know it’s a scam. He also insulted me asking if I could handle the charger I was renting.

This place is a scam. On the website it says no need to vacuum or wash the vehicle when returning and then charged me an 81 dollar fee to vacuum the car. They said it was filled with excessive sand and I wasn’t even near sand. I was in grassy corn field areas. They said it’s in the fine print of the terms and conditions and that budgets website is giving false information about not having to vacuum the vehicle. So please be ware of all the scams.

They are SCAMMERS!!! BEWARE!!! There prices are low to suck you in and then they OVERCHARGE you to get the money on the back end. They will LIE and put your time in later than you brought in and then charge you a LATE FEE. They will also try and charge you and CLEANING fee if you don’t vacuum the car. It is better to goto the other locations and get your TRUE price than to be SCAMMED on the back end

Renting from the location at 1799 Superior St. in Cleveland, OH was $300+ less than renting from the CLE airport. It was a $30 Uber ride, well worth the difference! They had a great selection of vehicles and had me in and out in a flash!

Worst front office service . We have waited for 10 minutes in the queue for him to respond. He is busy in his phone using WhatsApp. Please do avoid this place .

Overall I always have a quality experience when I rent from Budget. I just strongly recommend that you do NOT rent from the CLEVELAND location. Customer service at that location is TERRIBLE!

Gave me the wrong type of car. It was dirty, it had steering problems. Charged me for fuel after I returned it even though I brought it back full. Tried contacting someone 10 times and every time they say they are transferring me to someone else and just disconnect the phone call.
