Impressive and also compact library with a fantastic, enticing layout. This library really makes you cuddle in one of those perfect spots and read a book. Up to date collection. The addition of an EV charging made this place a perfect stop for resting if you are traveling or passing by: reading a book/playing a board game is nice after few hours of driving (and your car is charging). Staff is super attentive and they have tons of activities going on. Pristine bathrooms. Then you can head to a small trail nearby and stretch those legs!

This is an updated review based on the new library building. For an affluent city like Bay Village, you would think that they would be willing to expand their materials collection when they move into a new building but it seems that it has shrunk significantly in quantity and quality, especially their nonfiction and adult collections. Chances are that you most likely will not find what you are looking for and have to order it online from another library. The older building was smaller and it had more shelves compared to the newer building. The new library building also doesn't give it a comforting and quiet vibe either but that personally is coming from me, who used to come to the older building all the time growing up. It's nice to see the librarians still kind and helpful as always, although it seems that some of them have left. I'm not trying to be cynical and it is still a nice library, but it just lacks in certain things.

As a nanny I am constantly looking for places to take the kids and more importantly that are free. This was my first time here and it’s truly a beautiful place. The children’s area is a little smaller than Fairview but still plenty to do. The one thing that I love about this children’s area is that it is closed off, has a family restroom, computers and a self checkout. I didn’t have time to look at the rest of the library but what I could see it’s very nice. They have a teen space, innovation space, fireplace, many study areas and I was told there is an outdoor space upstairs. The staff were very welcoming and polite. This library is wonderful. If I find a coffee shop inside it will be perfect lol

Umm... Aren't libraries supposed to have books? The old building had a very nice selection of reading material but sadly this one is a waste of space.

The library itself is ok, but the parents in this district like to treat the library like its a daycare and drop off their sticky menacing children everyday for them to just run around and play loud music while people are trying to work. It so stupid, everyone wants to complain why teenagers never go to libraries anymore and this is my main reason, the kids treat the library staff awfully and just are being downright disrespectful to everyone in the library. Parents teach your children what a library is and what it is not or just leave them at home. Thanks

I came here to get some with my passport renewal. Honestly, my expectation was low because of how these paperwork-esque situations often go (where you can tell the person really doesn't want to deal with you).Well, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The individual I first spoke to immediately assisted me and got the process going. Without even asking she reviewed my paperwork and made sure I had what I needed, and offered additional help.Really, this was a phenomenal experience given the annoying and tedious process, and I can't say enough how kind and helpful the woman who helped me (and the other staff) were.

The need to makle a drive way to this place better. You have to somehow go a back way like you are going to the pool. And It don't feel much of a library inside. The old library was better. This places echos and is noisy.

I have been to a number of libraries in the Cleveland area, including various in Westlake, Rocky River, and Lakewood. This is the only library I've been to in Cleveland where the library staff and librarians have loud conversations for extended periods. This combined with the acoustics of the building make for a poor studying experience unless you have nice headphones. Beautiful building though and very nice indoor space.
