****Update 8/16***** this complaint was submitted on BBB. Fairview animal hospital has responded claiming that my dog tried to BITE the technican. This NEVER happened. They also added at the end of the paragraph how great my dog is, which is absolutely true she is always calm and cooperative they tell me this every single time I pick her up! Unbelievable! And to clarify , the nails were not clipped on initial grooming. I am the one who told the tech to stop because my dog was screaming. There are things that you can let slide like an undercooked burger and everyone has a bad day but you don’t involve hurting an animal. Lying is completely unacceptable and this lady needs to be held accountable!!!! Someone who truly loves animals would never do that. Their response to me has been added in the below images.********
I thought this was a good animal hospital to go to and I do like the doctors. I have been going for years, until today. My dog had a grooming appointment where her nails were not cut and LONG they were hitting the ground, I could hear them scraping causing her to trip. I was told she had to wait a week to get her nails trimmed for a service I already paid for a week ago. Finally had to speak with the manager who got me in same day. Poor service and not a good business look from receiption who should have got me in. The TECH who cut her nails cut them down to stubs!!! Making excuses that they were not long and her quick is too long. Well she took her anger out on her my dog was screaming crying and bleeding. I had to tell her to stop. We left with 3 nails unclipped because I couldn’t bare watching her go through that. Even a customer in the waiting room said she could hear her cry’s and was concerned. ***She took too much off on purpose!!!*** I will never come back here again!! I am beyond upset and horrified at this behavior and so sad that my dog had to go through this. Check your employees. Customer lost!
**we called to speak with Manager only to be transferred to the Tech who did this**
Photos added - the sore was already there from prior injury this is AFTER and the before you can see her nails are touching the ground the tech took half of her nail off when all she needed was a trim. Awful!

Fairview wanted to charge $95.00 to come back and remove the fetanyl patch from our cat after being spayed.
Why not give us a liquid pain killer to take home? Needless to say we removed the patch ourselves and saved $95.00
What a racket...

Just wanted to give this place the best review. Dr. Kalinin and her assistant were absolutely wonderful when we had to have our dog Diesel put to sleep. I will never go to another vet and highly recommend them to everyone.

We took our previous two shepherds to this vet, but I will not recommend them. I lost them both to cancer, and both saw the vet a month before passing we had no warning and were told both exams were good. After a few months, I got a new German shepherd Ruge. he is only 7 months old, and the is is He barked during the visit. the vet refused to touch him and made me ear swap the pup myself. He ended up having an ear infection. They gave meds but told me that the pup will not be welcome back unless we go to the vets friend at the behavioral clinic and my 7 month old puppy would need to be medicated. This vet is scared of shepherds.

I was reminded this week why I stopped going here many years ago.... but I needed to get my cat in and they had earlier availability than the clinic we usually take our dog to. The staff is friendly and caring, but in more than one of my experiences here has made issues appear more dire than they are. I ended up spending $700 dollars on tests that were presented as needed, when just one $50 test was all that was necessary to reveal the most likely culprit before moving on to the further testing. I understand them wanting to do what is deemed best for a pet but not everyone's in a position to afford large bills. My cat would have been just fine if they waited to see what initial essential testing revealed before doing additional tests.

Took our Havanese there for an emergency visit. The doctors there are friendly and caring. They take the time to explain why they recommend any care options. We are going to make them our first choice for pet care from now on.

I won't take my animals anywhere else. The staff is incredibly kind and courteous. Atlas, Simba, Zelda & Wesker are very happy with them.

Dr. Carter is lovely. She was incredibly kind with my 20-year-old cat in her last weeks of life. We had to put her down today, and the compassion of all the staff there is just unsurpassed. Couldn't recommend more.

the worst place you can go to for your pet. Dr.Carter is a crook and scam artist, she does unnessary tests and procedures to run up the bill. Every cat I brought to her she said needed dental work. She did numerous dental procedureas on many cats and they all died shortly afterwords. I hate that place, too expensive. Don't go there if you love your pet !
