I love their shades they have so many different selections and colors. Every time I come in here they’re always playing Drake and that’s a plus for me. The store is very clean, but I feel like the men’s clothes are very limited. There’s a picture of me wearing one of their shades. Their customer service skills are amazing. Everything is pretty organized. The fitting rooms are large and they have this amazing sell that takes place in March. Check out the store because the employees are very welcoming!

Friendly staff, great finds, easy to search through. It’s small but hand selected vintage and the premium you pay over thrift stores is not huge (i.e. most clothes between 5-10).
Snagged an LL Bean windbreaker for $9, a matching pink skirt suit for $17 (both pieces), Calvin Klein blazer ($5).

Staff was very nice. But what they want to pay you for your clothes is pennies. They have some nice items. But if you want to sell your clothes there expect not to get any value for them.

Not sure what’s been going on with them lately but they stop buying like 1 hour after opening. This store really fell off I don’t see them staying open too much longer.

Annoying to sell items. I came in several times to sell items, but each time I came in they said they We’re stopping for the day. First time I came in around 3:30 he Said they stopped for the day and that they would start over tomorrow and the time for selling was from 11 AM to 4 PM . The second time I came in at 1 PM and he said they stopped for the day and they would restart the next day at 11. The third time I came in at 12 PM and they said that they weren’t doing any sales that day. I don’t know if it was just my luck that I was coming in days that they weren’t buying, but it was becoming a pattern.

Decent place to shop. Horrible place to sell. They lowball the absolute hell out of you over very nice pieces. I brought in a very nice trench coat and they offered me $3 for it. Offers so low that they are insulting.

Nice staff. They won't take everything all the time. But you can come back and see if they have room for your items the next day

I called at 1:00 pm to ask until what time they were purchasing clothing today. I was told to come by 4;00. I drove a half hour, arrived at 2:45 and told no longer purchasing today. Their loss

I called at 1:00 pm to ask what time I needed to come to sell clothes. I was told 4:00. I arrived at 2:45. I drove a half hour. Manager was very rude and said no more buying today. Didn't apologize. Rather, he laughed. I will be glad when they go out of business.

NOT A THRIFT STORE. This is a resale store and fine for what it is. "Curated" clothes that appeal to their target market who would rather pay 3x than go to a thrift store and dig around.

a true thrift store, it's clearly all upcycled/second hand stuff. everyone is always nice when i come in and if all else fails, i usually find a solid tee or two. haven't sold items here yet, so can't comment on that experience.

Avalon used to be the place to find huge variety and the flyest clothes and shoes on the East side of Cleveland. They also used to value buying good clothes/shoes and helping the community. Today I brought in my entire collection (16 pairs) of designer pumps and ankle boots, thigh high boots I used for display and for burlesque. ALL SIZE 10, which is a less common size, and well sought after. Most of these shoes I had bought at Avalon, and most had never even been on my feet or ever walked in. They gave me $7.50 for two of the least exciting and most plain pairs of shoes. Since I had shown interest in donating, they expected I was going to donate all the shoes they SHOULD have bought from me. The clerk said "you can see we have a lot of shoes" (which they don't), and the variety and quality of clothes was worse than if I were to have gone dumpster diving (which I will prefer to what Avalon has devolved into). On top of it, they broke the vinyl bag I used to bring them my shoes. Coventry used to be the hippest place to visit, akin to Haight Street (SF, CA). Now it is a symbol of hate, with a black fist painted on the window across the street from Avalon. What a sad sorry shame, not worth the visit, not even worth the effort it took to write this review.
