my hair service with Morgan was good. Not what I asked for really but wasnt hateful so I didn’t complain. how ever I paid with the owner and left. Got home and got a call from her stating that they didn’t charge me enough for my service and I was to pay double what I already did. I’m not sure I understand?? they knew what service I was getting, I was givin a ball park range, they watched as it was happening and even complimented me on it during the process, rang it up and then decided it wasn’t enough and called to have me pay more for the service. Very unprofessional.

this happened a couple months ago but i didn't really understand what was happening until recently. when i went in, i had a solid blonde halo around my whole head (pics show what it looked like when i first got it). it had been 10 weeks since i got it done, so my roots had grown out quite a bit. i wanted my roots touched up and the blonde dyed red and then i wanted a trim. i told all this to the stylist and made sure to show her the underside of my hair so she could see what i had going on clearly. she asked if the bleach was applied on the roots, to which i said yes. she then asked if it was weaved. i asked what she meant twice so she asked if they used foils. i said yes and then she said my roots weren't long enough, that she wouldn't be able to do it right, that she didn't want to go to the roots because "that's not what this is" whatever that meant. she just kept repeating that, kind of rudely until i got up and left. she didn't even cut my hair. i didn't realize until recently after learning a little more about hair that she most likely somehow thought i had highlights???? even though i clearly didn't and she should have been able to see that when she looked at my hair. overall a very weird experience. i understand miscommunications happen but she was still rude and i don't think it was really my fault that i didn't realize what she thought was going on because i'm not the professional ?

I made an appointment with the hairstylist Emily, when I went I wasn’t pleased with the service I received she acted as if it was an inconvenience to do my hair, when she did it wasn’t good at all, she missed so many long hairs and there’s spots where she cut to deep and it wasn’t blended in, she completely cut my sideburns off I will not be using her againServices: Beard trim

I have been going to Uptown Hair for 20+ years! I have very thick and curly hair! I only trust Melissa to cut my hair! She is amazing with my hair! Her coloring is on point! She is honest when I come to her with ideas. Most of the time I set her free to do with what she wants!

I've used Uptown's various services and purchased hair care products from them for over 17 yrs. I highly recommend them.It is a laid back atmosphere. The owners, general manager and the rest of the stylists care about all the clients. The staff is friendly.Prices are fair, especially when comparing them to salons south of Dayton.They are great about supporting the industry (those starting out) and the surrounding community and schools.
