Home Depot ripped me off for $466. I purchased two garage doors from HD that included all materials and all labor. I was required to measure the doors before the doors were ordered. When the doors were shipped to me a site inspection would be arranged to make sure the doors fit. When questioned about the process, HD said I was misinformed as the site inspection would take place before the doors were manufactured. HD arranged the site inspection by a 30+ year employee, my measurements were confirmed as accurate and the inspector said everything was approved to move forward. Several days later I received an email that the order was on hold, and I needed to call HD. I was told that someone decided I had to have a piece of wood mounted on the wall behind the spring. From a picture the manufacturer sent, HD said it looked like just a "scrap of wood", however the total materials and labor would be 23% higher than the written contract. The manufacturer's installation manual indicated the wood was part of a normal installation, but contrary to HD contract it was not part of the materials and labor quote. Because the old garage doors had deteriorated, I felt the need to pay the extra $466. However, after paying the additional amount, and while the new doors were being manufactured, I was told I could have used the springs from the old doors which would have saved more than $466. HD wanted to settle the dispute, but required I sign a release which would have also removed the normal warranty. Around this time I also found out HD had not provided me with state and federal disclosure documents.

I would like to commend Will, a member of the management team at the Home Depot store #3822 Glenway Avenue Cincinnati 45211. I can't say that the day has gone flawlessly but he and his team have worked really hard on the details to make sure our larger than normal order was filled and delivered expeditiously. I would also like to acknowledge all the hard work and the extra effort put in (over the weekend) by Brittany (IT is her specialty) and over the past week by Fran (Pro-Desk rep). Please know that we noticed and appreciate all of your efforts!

Absolute worst Customer Service department. I have been standing here for 20 minutes in a line 6 deep and noone has even acknowledged our presence. One associate has been on the phone for the entire time, another keeps walking by us and just putting things away off shelves.

I’ve been coming to this HD for as long as I can remember and the store has always been great! Nate (the great) in particular was super helpful today, staying by my side from the moment I had a question about a product to purchase. Can’t wait to come back!

The place sell alot of garbage brands and some OK brands. Lots of low quality stuff too. If it is plastic it is complete garbage!
The service can be nice.
