Wow, we came as a family to celebrate a birthday with the cooking class and dinner. We had an amazing evening of cooking, dancing, and eating. The staff was delightful and the location for cooking and dining was top notch. Highly recommend!

Poorly handled experience. Place was reserved 2 months in advanced to arrival. Apparently new ownership has taken over 3 weeks prior to planned arrival. Instead of getting a phone call to explain I won't have a room, an email was sent to me stating my room was canceled PLUS a cancelation fee! Obviously in a panic when I read said email, I called as well as emailed them. No response, had to leave voicemail. No response from them for hours. Finally, get a phone call letting me know about new ownership and they canceled everyone and they hope my cc doesn't get charged?! It's a boutique place. Only a handful of rooms and you can't call a handful of people to let them know before email goes out?! Now scrambling to find a place within 2-3 weeks of going.

I booked my stay here at the Glendalia back in January as a place to stay and get ready in for my up coming wedding in September. I get a call yesterday from the owner, Robin, explaining that my room was given to someone else who needed a longer stay. When asked how could she just give my room away after it had been booked for 8 months, she simply replied that I had not paid for it yet so there was never any reservations. I was told by her assistant manager Katie who actually lives in Ohio, that payment was not due until check-in. Another minor detail that both failed to mention is that she switched these suites over to an Air BNB back in March. If that information was relayed I could have booked my room myself online and I would not have this issue. Robin did not care whatsoever then proceeded to offer me a large room with no furniture or shower. Not only did was Robin condescending to me, she never once apologized for the inconvenience she caused. Unless you plan on staying there long term, you can forget getting a room there. I do not recommend staying here. Horrible, horrible experience. Apparently, I am not the only one that she has done this to either.

Incredible antique building in a quaint village setting 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati. 5 star accommodations for a 3 star price. Full suite style rooms with vintage furnishings. An all-around great experience for a weekend getaway or for a work trip.

The proprietors are very welcoming and nice, the room is clean and very nice for the buildings age. I LOVE TRAINS, so even though they constantly talk about the train noise it was never a problem for me. This place is great and there is a pub, bakery, wine bar and a resturant on the little town square.

The room was awesome. It's basically an appartment that they're renting as a hotel room. One thing you will want to be aware of though is that there is a train track within half a mile of the place. They do provide earplugs beside the bed, but it can get pretty loud at night.

We recently scheduled an interactive dinner here for a work event and the experience was nothing but fantastic! Melissa, Chef Maura, and the rest of the Glendalia crew provided outstanding ambiance and a delicious menu that allowed our team to celebrate and have fun in the process. We were allowed to bring in our own adult beverages and when we first arrived, were greeted with tasty appetizers. We then started the interactive part of dinner with all 6 couples retreating to a cooking station where we made different parts of our menu. We even competed for fun prizes. Afterwards, we were all able to enjoy our own food at a large dining room table. The entire process was amazing all while enjoying delicious food. Thanks Melissa, Chef Maura, and the rest of the team for a great evening!

there are 6 suites at the Glendalia. each has a living room, kitchen, bedroom. have king size beds, 4 have queens, one has a 2nd bedroom with twins. breakfast is provided by the Bluebird Bakery across the street (from pastries to sandwiches and quiche) and all included in the price. the owner will bend over backwards; very accommodating. the thermostat is very responsive. you will be toasty cozy within one minute. the room we stayed in is immaculate! the fridge is stocked with juice and water. the bathroom has charmin TP, not single ply cheap hotel stuff. there are restaurants within walking distance and a phenomenal wine bar. all for a price less than major hotels in the area. we will stay there any time we are in Cincinnati.
