I have had a very good experience with Tennessee Avenue Animal Hospital. They got me in quickly with my little doggie Lewis. They put him at ease immediately and worked with him closely to put him at ease.

Dr Laura and her team have been seeing our Cat since 2020. He is a grumpy, difficult kitty around strangers and especially at the vet (he is so sweet at home I swear ?). Thank you so much for the extra special care, and extra friendly service. We really appreciate you adjusting his appointment to hit his needs!! Also will be donating a box of churru every visit from now on just to replace what my cat devours during his exam!!! Thank you!!

03/09/2024 RESPONDING TO OWNER
I will not change my review for we will have to agree to disagree with the happenings of the dog boarding and care of my dog 02/2024 with Tennessee Ave Animal Hospital. I have tried to resolve this matter with your condescending manger that infuriated me further by not coming to a resolution and belittling my pet. I welcome your hi-def video for it will show my shock on my face and blowing a gasket when presented with that bill and forged signature. With me pointing and denying that scribble-scrabble of so called signature. Hoping the video has audio too for it will prove what your staff have done. I'm glad you acknowledged that a filed copy of a document from a previous vet visit with purple ink was used. You will need that for I have disputed with my Banks the over charging of your sly deceitful billing of charges for boarding. Don't attempt to dispute with my bank or this will escalate to a civil legal matter. I have used your Vet for boarding seven time at least and never have I experienced such deceitfulness. I have previously paid nearly $3k in dog boarding. Starting on 03/3021 I paid $540 @ $22 per day, On 06/2022 I paid $443 @ $25 per day, On 0/2003 I piad $211@ $425 per day, On 02/2023 I paid $211 @ $25 per day, On 09/2023 I paid $455 @ $35 per day, On 09/2023 I pad $153 @ $35 per day, On 02/2023 I pad $350 @ $35 per day, and then 02/2024 you charged me unknowing $53 per day that totoled $629. If I had known you charge that much, I would have opted for a better boarding facility that is worth that amount! With no notice of rate increase. Your staff first stated an email was sent of rate increase but later recanted that statement. Have I or Have I disputed nearly $3k in dog boarding previously? No! Yes you are correct that I was Grandfathered. Wouldn't you think that meaning -'A grandfather clause, also called a “legacy clause,” is an exemption that allows persons or entities to continue with activities or operations that were approved before the implementation of new rules, regulations, or laws.' You would think the rate would be close to the same. Any forms that was used of daily care while boarding is fake uninstantiated just as that copy document present to me in my previous review. My pet was emaciated is no lie. Only at pick up of my pet did I see an itemized bill that I had to pay for because you were holding my dog for ransom until payment was made. What you are claiming I signed is the usual form that states only, medications, belongings, feeding instruction, emergency contact etc that was done in my writing. No cost is stated on that form as you claim I signed. I welcome you to post those documents on Google to disprove and show the forged signature. Mr. or Mrs. Owner, I will continue to use my voice around many forms of channels publicly so consumers can beware and share my experience with Tennessee Ave Animal Hospital. A complaint with the Better Business Bureau is warranted and who ever inspects your facility. Furthermore, Would you like my review deleted?, make this wrong that was done, to a right.

STRAIGHT HIGHWAY ROBBERY ON DOG BOARDING. I have used Tennessee Ave Animal Hospital for four years of boarding of my beloved Schnauzer and just recently had the worst experience with this business of sly deceitful billing practice. I returned from an International trip to pick up my dog and was presented with a bill of $629 for a 11 day stay. Was not informed that boarding has gone up 50% since by last trip last September(rate was then $34 per day) and now charging $53.26 per day. Tennessee Ave Animal Hospital must think that are up to standard of Pet Suites or Red Dog Pet Resort and Spa. At the time of drop off I was not giving an estimate of the stay as I noticed to myself as I was in transit across the word. A document they showed from a prior vet visit, of declined recommendations of services my me, and they slide in the word "boarding" with no dates of boarding on the form. The document was a b&w copy from a filed that was printed with purple ink of a forged signature. They wouldn't release my dog without payment. Spoke with the Vet manager only to come to no comprise but no luck so I dispute the charges with my bank as they recommend. To further mention also, the condition of my dog upon pick up was deplorable! He spelled so bad of a kennel & waste x10 appeared to be partially emaciated, and severely itchy and scracting himself! It literally took 30 minutes of bathing and scrubbing to get rid of the horrible smell of him. TENNESSEE AVE ANIMAL HOSPITAL WILL NOT EVER GET ONE CENT FROM ME AGAIN.

Dr. Laura and her staff have been taking care of our furry family members for several years. Our sweet little Phoebe becomes a beast when around people other than family. She's a mixed breed, but we were told her mama was a Rottweiler. Based on her behavior, I suspect her daddy was a chihuahua. Basically, she's a nervous wreck who lashes out when she's anxious.
She has a reputation that she's difficult and I suspect there's a hint of apprehension among the staff when she's on the calendar.
However, during our last visit, Ashley made an extra effort to make Phoebe fell comfortable, and it worked. She's never been so calm. It's hard to believe she's the same dog.
Where is this rambling review going? Simply put, the staff at Tennessee Animal Hospital will love your pet and treat them as if they were their own, even if your furry family member is a handful.

I took my Shih Tzu, Woody with eye problems! I was told it was dry eyes. The vet techs were so nice and patient with him. Dr. Laura decided to keep him for a few hours and clean out his eyes! They were so loving and caring. Loved how they took such good care of my baby. Asked me where I wanted to stop with pricing, and they did! Love this place!

I was very happy to find TAAH for my ferret Ouizl. They take excellent care of her, and have the most reasonable prices I have seen. I'm extra lucky to have them fairly close to home, too. Dr. Laura explains things thoroughly, and lets me know what is needed, and what the options are, as well as what things will cost. The assistants and office staff are friendly and helpful.

My dog is anxious and difficult—and six months ago she had a very bad experience at a different vet in the area, so I sought a second opinion from these guys and I am so glad I did. They have been so patient and sweet with my dog (even when she is snarling like she wants to maybe murder them) and the techs, the staff, and the vets have all demonstrated more empathy and gentleness than I've ever seen from a veterinary office—and I used to work as a vet tech in my twenties, so I have a context. I am so grateful for how careful, reassuring, and humane they have been with me and my dog. Thank you so much. It means to world to know that you guys can help us through a crisis.
