The variety of costumes is remarkable from the swinging 20's to star trek. You can rent or buy whatever you need to that occasion. The staff is small in number but helpful and funny.

Best best best! Best place to go for any theater, theme party! I love this place! I can’t get enough! My only complaint would be their hours are limited, only open on the weekends… I’ve always been satisfied an excellent customer service!

The people were very helpful when I was trying to dress in authentic Renaissance Era clothes. I was able to rent the clothes and choose what I wanted to buy after the event without any problems.

Perfect Hidden Gem Botique!I have been going here for over 25 years. As a kid, we got all of our costumes for the Reading Jr./Sr. High School plays and musicals. As an adult, it's great to go look around and find rentals and accessories for ANY occasion.I've read in online shopping groups that people have driven here out of state just to explore and find something special.

Had such a sad experience today, and am still shaken up.This is a longer review, but with respect to the other associate, I want to make sure I'm clear with where the issues originated. We rented some beautiful pieces for our show this month, and Marianne was amazing in getting everything set up and ready for us.When returning most of the items, I made the mistake of returning a shirt to the wrong location, so I had to come back the next week to complete everything. I was ready to pay an extension fee, but she was kind and allowed for that margin. We had a dress and lace-up shirt to bring back as well.My mother dropped off the dress first, and was told sternly by Nancy there would be a $40 damage fee. I wasn't sure what that was for, so when I stopped by to drop off the lace up shirt, I asked. I have a new costume team, so if mistakes were made, I want to make sure they know where they must improve.I have no problem paying the fee- prices here are very fair- but something happened after I asked what the fee was for.Nancy stormed away without speaking a minute, planted at another counter, and then proceeded to tear into me, loud enough for the room full of customers to hear, and potentially even the adjacent room.I think she somehow concluded I was trying to get out of a fee, which upset her. Despite me trying to communicate that wasn't the case, not only did she stop listening but she threw insults.A few of Nancy's choice sentences:"You are so snooty""Your energy is killing me""Has anyone ever told you that before? It's true""You sound so snippy""Everything you say is so passive aggressive"-I replied I was being genuine, she said, "I don't believe you.""I have been doing this for 40 years so if there's an issue I know it's not me.""Blip blip blip blip" (mimicking me talking and cutting me off for asking where to drop off the final shirt this week)Even if I was trying to negotiate damages, you still shouldn't use public shaming as a tactic. The customer is not always right, but I do believe that standards of mutual respect should be held in all interactions.Marianne was kind, professional, helpful, and honestly made the magic of clothing and performance come alive for me and my cast that came with me.Nancy was hostile, insulting, aggressive, and never even created space for response.I do have the interaction recorded, so all details can be corroborated. I'm not the person to post it (public shaming is not my method) but I'm happy to share the recording with the owners for reflection.I do hope moving forward that a space where artists can create that much magic together can also be a space of safety, gentleness, and mutual respect.

Excellent attire for any type of 1920's theme. Best to mix their items with other retailer spend in the area for a great conversation topic!

My daughter went shopping her with her friend. She’s been wanting to go for months, ever since my sister who is a regular there told her about Talk of the Town. My sister has shopped there for years! She loves vintage and retro styles. However, when I called my daughter to see how her visit there went my daughter said, it was a bad experience. I asked her why, and she explained that the ladies who worked there kept following them and making comments about everywhere they went in the store. If they picked up something they liked they told them that they could “place the item on the counter” , while other shoppers in the store could carry around what they wanted to purchase. She said the younger gal working told them, “you’re making my boss nervous.”They finally decided to just make their purchase and leave. I told her I’m sorry you had to deal with being treated that way; but unfortunately it’s intentional bias. Some people will automatically will judge you regardless.

HUGE selection of items and quality stuff! Only two complaints: extra fee when using a credit card (which is annoying when you don't have cash) and store hours are NOT accurate online

This is an absolutely amazing place. They offer a wide variety of clothing from every decade. The upstairs is a wonderful costume shop. The great thing about this place is that everything is either for sale or for rent so it is great for a themed party, Halloween, or for making a purchase to add some unique style to your wardrobe. If you are in town it is worth stopping by.

The place was huge with so much great stuff. Good prices and most pieces can be bought or rented. The owner was polite and super helpful. Great changing rooms. Can't wait to go back.
