I’ve been a Spyglass resident for 5 years. I love it here, out of the way, quiet with a very friendly and diverse community of people. The management team, Katie, Katie and Tyler greet everyone with a smile. Take care of maintenance issues promptly and are very professional, compassionate empathetic people. I have lived at the spyglass 12 years and seen a lot of changes at this property. Katie and Katie are the managers now and they do a great job. When you have a maintenance request they get them done quickly and always smiling. I recommend anyone live at this property.

I just moved here recently and so far I have had a great experience. The apartments are nice, there's update security systems, and the staff is very friendly. My point of contact was Tyler and he gave me excellent tours and made sure I was taken care of at each point of the application process. Overall, I am very pleased with my decision.

Havnt been here long but I've heard and read about the past. They have done alot of work to help with the issues. There are cameras outside the key fob and key only entrances. I like how it is ducked off and very private for the people living here. My son and I walk our puppy all hours of the day and night we feel safe and everyone we have came in contact with are very friendly especially the workers who I see everyday through the week tending to the property. The apartments are very spacious and roomy was kind of hard getting furniture in the front door had to buy a multi small pieced couch but over all its almost like suburban living in the city.

Great place to live in Northside! I love the seclusion of being pretty much in a nature preserve and also being able to walk to bars and restaurants. The building is a little older but maintenance has always been quick to respond, Ervin is great! Over all I'd say if you want to live in Northside, Spyglass is affordable, safe and walkable which is just what I wanted.

UPDATE: They've made big improvements on the security front. Although they still have issues concerning customer service, their willingness to install security cameras and improving building security was a massive positive.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Okay apartment, but has massive security concerns. Expect cars to be broken into on a regular basis, packages lifted, etc. I'll change my rating to reflect other aspects of the apartment once these security concerns (installing cameras that work for example) are fixed.

There have been huge improvements to the building in the last month. New external doors with key-fob locks and cameras in the parking lot and mail room have made me feel a lot better about living here. Some of the interiors could use some work (the hallways), but the price is right and the neighbors are friendly.

I'm a current resident. My apt unit is nice and roomy. The common areas have been remodeled and updated. But thats where the good things end for me. The property isnt secure at all, and within the past year we have been targeted by car thieves that bust out car windows. Dozens of cars have been broken into and the police have been called several times. Management has done literally nothing to secure the property and down right refuses to even though it should be their obligation to protect their property, building and tenants. My roommate and I will be looking somewhere else to move to once the lease is up. It doesnt matter how nice the property looks if it isn't safe.

This review is specifically for Tee and Drew the maintenance people who help keep the properties clean.These two are always so personable and know how to keep the buildings clean, especially the Spyglass. Definitely a great addition to Gaslight Properties!

If you are moving into this place just know that your car at some point will be broken into and the property will do nothing about it. They haven't made any attempts to put up cameras inside or out side the building. My car has had its windows broken into 2 times in 1 year. and at one point this year 22cars had their windows broken into and after lots of complaints since, nothing has be changed.

I currently live here and generally enjoy it. The staff here is very kind (even just in passing) and very helpful. One of our current leasing agents, Katie, has helped me feel extremely comfortable in my first few months here by answering any and all questions I have. The property is clean and safe and private enough for me to walk my dog late at night with little to no concern and the others that live here are courteous of each other for the most part.I've yet to experience maintenance issues myself, but the issues in the common areas (the lobby stairwells and hallways) seem to be resolved quickly and professionally.
