The guys and gals here are wonderful. As a backyard mechanic for 20 years, never have a had a better time dealing with people. Always helpful and the prices are always better than anywhere else in the city. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is horribly unprofessional. I was in need of a custom paint color. Smyth is one of the only stores in the area that can provide this service. I called to double check that they could help me. They confirmed that they could. I arrived about 1-1.5 hrs before the store closed but was informed that the paint area was closed and I’d have to return on a different day. I was annoyed because why wouldn’t they tell me this over the phone. Anyway, I just left and returned the next day. Upon returning, I was told that the paint person was busy and that it’d be a 10-15 minute wait before he could help me. I decided to wait. 30 MINUTES LATER, I inquired with the woman at the front desk about how much longer I’d have to wait. She said she’d go check. Finally, after another 10-15 minutes passed, a guy emerged from the back of the store stating that he had 7 more gallons to mix and then he could help me. NO!!! I told him I’d already been there for 30 minutes and just wanted one aerosol can of paint. I was then informed that the store was out of aerosol cans and apparently had been for at least a day. This means that when I called and went to the store the day before, THEY HAD NO AEROSOL CANS but no one bothered to tell me this!!! If they’d told me when I called, I wouldn’t have made the trip to the store. If they’d told me when I went to the store the day before, I could have saved another trip.The employees don’t really seem to care much about their jobs, about customer service, about anything. My time and effort to gain information was completely disregarded. The employee in charge of paint told me he could order aerosol cans and have my paint ready later on in the day but that I’d have to pay upfront and simply “trust” that he was going to do what he said. Unfortunately, at that point, I didn’t really “trust” anyone in that store. I opted to find an alternative establishment to get my paint needs met. My experience was ridiculous. DO BETTER Smyth!!! I highly recommend going elsewhere for your automotive needs.

Horrible service. Rude staff there. First shift. Wouldn’t recommend going there. Just to warn you if you buy one of their parts and it’s defective so you go to a different auto parts store buy one that works try to return the part to Smythe and they say they can’t give you your money back. They can give you another part which was defective in the first place and it’s a wheel bearing so I can’t just swap them out.
