The inside is open during strange hours it seems; hard to even tell when it is open. Building is dated and not up to “Shell standard”. This place is obnoxious in the morning as all of the Amazon drivers take over the lot and act like they own the place. It’s Shell so I use it when in a pinch, but I prefer almost every other location they have in the city better.

This Shell station does in fact seem to be overcharging for gas. Nearby stations are significantly cheaper per gallons, often by nearly 40 cents. I assume this is because of the location and that the owners can get away with this.I'm unsure about the BBQ and store connected to the Shell since I just went for gas. I pulled up, saw the gas prices, got back in my car and headed to another nearby station.

Gas is the most expensive in the area. This guy consistently charges .40 or more per gallon. Why? Because he knows the Amazon drivers will fill up there no matter what. Absolutely ridiculous!!! Been through the drive through one time, and the worker had rap music so loud I couldn't believe it. "F this, N word that" I will never be back, and if you stop to get gas there, you need your head examined!!!!

I have a feeling things have changed drastically since the good reviews in 2019. Be aware of this before going. Saw reviews that its located in a gas station. Had high hopes as we have had Velvet Smoke in Harrison and Arts in Colerain and both are attached to gas stations. Turns out Riverside is not. It's in a standalone building that looks pretty nice from outside. However,as soon as you walk in things change. About 6 tables all dirty despite us being the only ones there. Two teens sitting at a table with purses and magazines all over it. One got up and went behind counter to serve us. She had her phone on speaker which she laid down behind the counter but left it on continuing her conversation with her mom. There were at least 8-10 flies buzzing around the small space which she kept batting away. She asked what we want. I ordered pulled pork sandwich. She then mumbled something else and I said " I'm sorry I didn't hear you." She replied she was talking to her mom not me. She kept mentioning and acting shocked that the steam table was hot. She mentioned it was burning her several times. Literally took more than five minutes to make sandwich. Asked if we wanted anything else. I ordered Mac and cheese which is featured prominently on the menu board saying MAC AND CHEESE IS BACK. She said " We don't have that." So I got baked beans instead. My son then ordered brisket sandwich and green beans. On both sandwiches she poured on sauce from a giant Sweet Baby Ray's jar. I really like Sweet Baby Ray's but most BBQ places have sauces of their own or at least a few to choose from. Like Eli's sauce which is excellent. I sat down while she made his sandwich and side and was literally halfway done by the time he got to the table. After we sat down both girls exited the building and disappeared. Another guy came in and stood at the counter about 5 minutes and none was there. He walked over into the drive thru attached and came back looking confused. I told him they did go out those doors but we hadn't seen them for about 15 minutes. The food was okay. That's what got the 2 stars. The meat was okay.. Dry and lukewarm. And I AM NOT someone who is picky at all or expects five star food or service at a roadside BBQ joint. But the meat was nowhere near hot and just ok. The sides were very good. Most BBQ restaurants are the opposite. The beans were both smoky, hot and fresh. The coleslaw was standard. The other guy finally went back into the drive thru and found the girls to take his order. We had to shoo flies away the whole time we were eating. So....was it good? No. Maybe just a bad day because reviews aren't awful. Service was non existent. You could tell we were bothering them, the girl ignored us while talking to her mom on speaker and then they both just left. Had we needed anything else we were on our own. We also could have easily left without paying if we were that kind of people. I figured up the bill after leaving.....$9 pork sandwich.....$13 brisket sandwich....two sides at $ 1.50 each and two drinks at $2.19 each. Should have been about $30 plus tax. She charged us $25 ?? But we were already gone and I wasn't going back. Food was okay. Not good not awful. So would I go again or recommend to others? Absolutely not. Was it okay for $25? The sides were good and sandwiches ok. So barely.

The most expensive gas here, the owner truly milks every dollar out of people knowing that Amazon drivers will fill up here due to convenience.

If you want the most expensive gas in town, come here! Whatever the gas prices are in town, this guy will make it 10-15 cents more expensive guaranteed. He does this because the Amazon trucks buy a majority of the gas just so they don't have to cross the street to pump at speedway. This guy should be ashamed of himself because you can tell he's just in it for the money. His BBQ place and convient store didn't have the funds to get completed and open so they sat unfinished for years. Now they milk every cent they can.

Unlike your image the price for reg gas was 3.69 a gallon. The layout is strange. With cashier obscured . No conveniences, no oil or wiper... and it took some doing to get cashier off phone to do business.
