Sad to see all the stores in Dayton have closed. Mismanagement, unprofessional supervisors, unfair treatment of employees, low hourly pay, mismanagement of donations systems, over pricing of donations, on and on....these are just a few of the reason the ARCs will all close. The program that is supported by these store is worth saving too bad the ones in charge don't know how to SAVE it.

I'm a lover of thrift stores and enjoy the hunt of finding treasures amongst different shops. When I visit the Salvation Army Store in Norwood, I almost always find at least one item that is unique or fun to purchase. I feel there is a fairly wide selection of products, and they are moved quickly. Every time I visit I see new clothing displayed. The daily sales on particular colored ticket-items is a nice bonus to the already discounted items.

This drop off center now has limited hours for dropping things off. They are: 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m, Monday through Thursday, I'm guessing stuff was being dropped off that was no good and SA had to limit hours so they could eliminate that.

Always find a good blazer here, great prices, organized and they sometime get Zara bins donated with tags on them

We tried to drop off children's toys and household items but were told by the man sitting in one of the bins outside that they only take clothing and NEW furniture. We donated elsewhere. Not sure what all that was about.

You can find some good deals at this location, especially on new Zara items. We try to go on Wednesday's as they typically have a 50% off all apparel on that day, as who doesn't love a good deal?! I rated them a 3/5 as the staff isn't the friendliest. When I have been, they do the bare minimum and aren't always willing to help. My latest visit, I wanted to purchase something out of the glass case and they told me it was too close to closing time. So I couldn't buy it, random but I understood. If you decide to go, happy hunting!

EDIT: Over the last few months the Salvation Army has went down hill dramatically. The prices are almost brand new. You can easily get anything they sell online from ebay or sometimes amazon for less money and the item will have at least a 30 day warranty. They have stopped taking donations that are even questionable. I had a nice coffee table and 2 end tables that did have just a few (less than 3 scratches). The guy taking donations said they wont take any of them. He also said that they are changing what they are taking for donations and hopefully getting better quality stuff for sale, but are going to be charging even more. This makes no sense to me, we want almost brand new items for free, then sell them for more than brand new prices and don't give any warranty for anything. This is not sustainable, nor does it help anyone that works there (everyone will be out jobs very soon) and it hurts everyone that can not afford a brand new item. Some furniture is better than no furniture. There are some people in Cincinnati that don't even have a couch or a chair or tables in their house and the salvation army used to be a wonderful alternative for very cheap. Now it is not any alternative for anyone, you can purchase most items new for cheaper.I love the salvation army for what they do, but they are starting to not help the needy and that makes me very sad. I truly hope they help out our less fortunate neighbors. Until then I can not change my rating.OLD REVIEW: I love shopping at the salvation army. They have all sorts of treasures. I have bought REAL Coach purses for the wife, and PS4 for me. Most everything works, but you should always try it out before you buy it. PS they hire people that can't get a job anywhere, and that want to work. The addition part of the building is a really great program that helps out a lot of people. So when you are looking for a shirt for $1.99 think of the great deal you are getting and all the people that you are helping along the way.PS tell Robin (the manager) that Jordan sent you and he will give you a big Hi Five!!PPS he really likes robin, batman and robin.

Very overpriced, can buy brand new stuff for less at Walmart. Very disappointed with this store as usually Salvation Army is my favorite place to shop and make my paycheck go farther. Also lady was super rude when I asked if they do a Veterans discount. She seemed almost offended that I would even ask and told me they definitely don’t do senior or military discounts. Geez sorry I asked. Guess helping addicts is a go but asking if you help vets or seniors is offensive...

Why don't you guys fix the time on your website? Says you open at 9 but really it's 10.

Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill for the last year or so. Shoe selection is pretty bad and on the rare occasion there is a pair worth considering, it is overpriced. USED no brand golf clubs for $200? Give me a break. Not sure what pricing model is being used but if u decide to go there more than once, you'll likely see the overpriced items there the third, fourth, and fifth time around.

Online it says they are open till 8, at 5:55 I was told to "get out" without any warning or being able to try on or buy my clothes that I had spent the past hour getting. I asked why there was NO warning and the girl just stared at me. I will absolutely never come back here nor donate due to the blatant disrespect from multiple staff members.
