Bought a vape here and as soon as I left the store and tried it. It did not work and told him and he proceeded to tell me I could not get another one. Also tried to charge it. It didn’t charge and he didn’t replace it for me. Have been going here for a while but not anymore

New York Groceries is a weekly stop for me. Isaac is so amazing and patient. He has a wide variety of CBD, Delta 8, Delta 9, etc etc. There's something for everyone here! If you're located in OTR this place is a great convenient place to pick up a snack, drinks, or a missing ingredient you're needing.I once mentioned that I wish he had redbull blue edition and by the next time I visited they were in the fridge. ❤️

Edit to respond to owner: I have never shoplifted. That is a lie. I have been to your store twice. I paid for all my items, was respectful and courteous as I checked out, and there were no issues, at all. You are a liar. You should be ashamed. I gave an honest review, you slandered and lied. Thank you for showing your true colors.Original 2-star review:They don’t put the prices on items and the two times I have been there I have gotten sticker shock at the counter. Basically a glorified and expensive convenience store. I will not be returning.

The best "bodega"/"corner store" in OTR. It's the cleanest, classiest and most convenient. The guy who works there is also amazing! He's very friendly and helpful and always remembers his customers. There is a good selection here that may differ from what the other places may have and there's also dry food and frozen foods. The alcohol selection is pretty good to for a corner store. Also he has a nice tobacco/nicotine selection. Check him out, I won't go anywhere else.

The owner/operator is so so nice!! He's almost always there and willing to help. He's offered to help me carry my purchase home more often than not. I've never accepted because I can handle it myself, but he also remembers me when it's been weeks or months since I've been in. You cannot ask for a better location!

This place is a gem! My family has lived in OTR for years and we love shopping here! Mr. Issacs is always very tentative and will help you find whatever you need. They have extremely fair prices & carry tons of options. We rarely go to Kroger anymore because of this place!

I went in to grab snacks for my mother who was getting her hair done at a shop down the street. I was greeted more so for the owner to see who was in the store. Didn't ask if I needed help or anything. He doesn't wear a mask, and was making jokes about people still wearing mask with a customer who also wasn't wearing a mask. Complained that Covid restrictions are hurting his business, and said unemployment was to blame...I paid with money I get from unemployment. You never know who your customer is, and you should definitely respect public safety if you expect the public to support you. I won't be back. He didn't have much merchandise to pick from anyways.
