Montgomery Cyclery makes me want to buy things in person again. I'm so used to buying online, but going to a place with experts was truly better.I went to this location for a fix, and it was so easy to work with them. While I was there, I was also looking at kids' bikes and they gave me specialized advice about how to transition a tall child who is an inexperienced rider to a better bike. It was a simple thing, but honestly, customer service is so tough these days that when you find an example of genuine friendlessness, it's refreshing. 10/10 would recommend.

I stopped in to borrow a pump because I had just patched my inner tube and needed air. I was on a long bike packing trip following the entire Ohio River from point to point, and it was my first flat of the trip. Instead of just letting me borrow a pump, the man working there, James, replaced my inner tube, and then sent me off with two extra tubes without charging me. He encouraged me to continue my trip and “have fun, stay safe, and go fast”. I was so grateful for his generosity and kindness! Helpful people like James is what makes big bike trips like this possible and worth it. I am so appreciative of this bike shop and what they did for me!

This location just scored big points with me. My daughter's bike had an issue with it. A part on the back tire that helps move the chain and change gears had broken off. As you can see not exactky a bike expert. Not knowing how bad it was damaged or how to fix it, I went in and explained my issue. He came out to my car and took a quick look. Showed me that it was a simple fix and how I could do it. Easily could have sold me something or charged me a bunch for a simple repair. Greatly appreciate the honesty and integrity! Good to see it still exists in some places.

This location of Montgomery Cyclery is very clean and organized. We were looking to purchase bikes for the family and had budgeted for this large expense. We were disappointed to see that their selection was limited. There were far more kids bikes than for adults. The adult bikes on display didn't have much variation in the style, design, and color. We were permitted to test drive a bike in the parking lot, which is one of the reasons we want to buy in person instead of online, but we didn't see much that interested us. They had a good selection of helmets, tools, and biking accessories. When we asked if the one bike we liked came in different colors we were told that what we see is what they have and that bikes are in high demand right now. They couldn't order a different color or even a different bike. It seems we just chose a bad time to buy bicycles. My wife found a larger variety online and decided to try having one delivered. It's a nice shop and we will likely try shopping here again later in the year.

We bought our grandson a bike for Christmas. I brought it here to get the brakes tweaked and to have it checked to make sure all was safe for him. The gentleman that was working, got it out of my car for me and checked every inch of that bike to make sure all was well. After he finished, he put it back in my car. I followed him to go back to pay and he said he could not charge me for checking the bike because it was a Christmas present. I was taken aback. How genuinely nice! Highly recommend this store and will definitely go back!

Andrew was very helpful and patient with me. He showed me how to use the quick connect wheels and allowed me to practice at the shop. I'm still learning but very happy I don't have to purchase a bike rack. Took my new Jamis bike out for a spin right away. Struggled with the quick connect rear tire, but figured it out. I'm sure I'll get better at it with time. Looking forward to a bike ride tomorrow.

It's great when you feel at home in a bike shop!They took care of everything I came in for and gave me tips on bike maintenance. They were willing to stop what they were doing and put my bike in the stand for inspection. Very friendly staff and calm environment.I'll be back soon!

Got to give a big shout to Andy, I went to this location specifically due to them having a bike I wanted. He was patient with me and allowed me to look at multiple bikes. Even went to the back room to find the bike I wanted. Love the bikeThank you!

The experience with this particular cyclery was horrible!!!!!! Not only did they not fix my bike, they had it for 3.5 weeks. I had to call after the date given the bike would be ready. When I called, they told me the bike was not ready. Furious I told them I would be to pick up the bike. The story regarding my experience is way too long for this platform. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I WOULD NEVER TAKE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THEIR BIKE THERE FOR ANY KIND OF REPAIR. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS DEPLORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GAVE 1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE I HAD TO TO POST!

I went to these guys for a bike tuneup earlier this year. When I picked up my bike it made a clicking noise when I pedaled it. I brought it back and indicated that it didn't make the noise before the tuneup. They told me that it couldn't have possibly been the adjustments that they made, and it was more likely the lower bracket or a set of bearings.
