Interesting experience to say the least. Simply scheduled an oil change; arrived a few minutes early and asked if it would be possible to check the ABS Sensor cables in the front wheel wells while they have it up on the lift changing the oil - “cars don’t have ABS cables, that’s something that we would have to throughly inspect and run through diagnostics” - “Sorry, maybe I’m misspeaking and not calling it by the proper name. If you can’t or don’t want to check that…no worries, just the $40 oil change deal is fine.” - “Is the ABS light on?” - “Yes, after she got tires installed in the front, the light came on the dash. I’m guessing that they knocked the cable loose or something.” - “Cars don’t have ABS cables. Speed sensors wouldn’t trigger the ABS dash light, plus mounting tires wouldn’t trigger anything anyways since they wouldn’t be near anything.” - “It was a “questionable” place where she had them installed…maybe it was an accident?” - Proceeds to walk out, start the car & pop the hood. - “How long has this car been sitting? It’s going to need a LOT of work!” - “Well sir, she did let it sit for the majority of winter with minimal starts as you can see by how filthy it is from sitting under a tree…but it’s just a cheap little Honda, I just want the oil change for the time being since I’m already putting new rotors & pads on later today.” (unexpectedly had to put on new calipers too) - “I hate to turn away business, but that car needs a whole lot of work and if you’re not going to let us check it and give you a quote…we can’t help you.” - “No worries, take care.” - Valvoline Oil Change: $50. Full diagnostic at Ulmers: Free (only code that showed was ABS sensor cable low wattage). Vindication in confirming that the ABS light was due to a bad passenger side ABS sensor cable (part: 57450SLNA01), Priceless (well + $30 for the part itself) - Moral of the story: go to the Wooster Pike Monro location or go to a locally owned shop.

I had purchased a vehicle from a used car shop back in February and had the check engine light come on. Brian and his crew took a look and gave me advice to avoid charging me an arm and a leg as well as worked with me on my schedule for bringing the car in. I appreciate the honesty and transparency as well as the invaluable help I received at Monro! Highly recommend.

Ended up being a bad experience. They changed the wrong tie rod. How they possibly did an alignment is beyond me. How possibly missed the passenger side tie being blown out and still accomplished an alignment I don’t get. The front tires looked like a snow plow they were so toed in. Mind blowing I paid for this service.

If you need work done on your vehicle this is definitely where to come! Brian the store manager went above and beyond to make this as easy as possible for me. Very honest and professional. The technician who worked on my car Craig was great and made sure that everything was done correctly and was safe! I will come here from now on!

I came in needing my breaks done and was told won’t get to it till next week, they then told me they found the right parts and had it don’t that same day and had me back on the road even when they had to stay late, they made sure I was safe, come to Monroe auto if you need anything done and they will make sure they get it done right and safe.

This place was great. They squeezed me in with a same day appointment, they took their time with my car and even when my car had a bad battery and alternator going bad they gave me a better rate than when I last had to replace my alternator. Will definitely be using Monro again in the future. This was the first time in my life I felt like I had honest mechanics working on my car.

Extra cold temps killed my battery. Got one from an auto supply store, but turns out install was a little more complex than I expected. Called Brian and he was more than willing to work with me even though I didn’t buy the battery from them. The building is clean and well maintained. Staff friendly and caring. What a hidden gem in Anderson!

Just brought my daughter’s Ford Escape in for an oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic saw that the a/c actuator harness plug was not plugged in. They asked me if the a/c worked? It actually stopped this summer. Had it to Ford and they were going to charge me well over 5k. Said that the blend door was not working.Brian and Logan just saved me a ton of money that Ford would’ve stolen from me.
