“This is probably my favorite little shop in Cincinnati. I got lucky and caught them when they had the Negroni Blue Cheese! What a dream. Tried the “plum brie-lievable” sando, and it was SO delicious. My boyfriend had “the Chopper” and it was equally amazing!
Visited this shop twice in the 6 day trip we were here. Will definitely be back again next year.”

This place has been a part of my life since early childhood, when my siblings and I would accompany Dad there to purchase beer and pop for family picnics, holiday and other gatherings. It is now in the hands of Bob's children and grandchildren, but they are such a great bunch of people that you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.
I stopped just to get a lottery ticket during my recent visit, but they have almost anything you want or need. It's a quick stop for "on the way home" or "on the way out of town or to the beach or to the river, etc." There is a convenient drive-through, too.
Lots of free lot parking and right at a traffic light on Reading Rd, so easy in and out.
Stop in and become a part of the Gertz "family".”

You can buy them in singles so you can try what you want without having to commit to a full 6 pack. They have rotating season stock I think: in winter I see more stouts and in spring I see more sours.”

“Visited this location after looking for peppermint schnapps and Irish cream for holiday drinks. They have a good selection of liquor here but some of the pricing was 25 percent higher than for the same product down the street. I bought one item here and then went down the street to purchase the other. The staff were nice enough. It would be great if their pricing was more competitive and consistent. Overall a good place to stop if you need something quick.”
“Don't miss this small wine shop!! One can pop in for a bottle to bring to a dinner or gain suggestions for pairing with a dish or dessert. One of the employees is studying for a sommelier exam and he will gladly share knowledge of various regions. You can find a carefully chosen selection of wines for nearly any palate here. There are also some IPAs, crackers, olives, and chocolates available. You won't want to skip the sign up list for tasting nights!”

“Stopped in, 1st time, during the December holiday Clifton Fest on Ludlow. We got a friendly welcome and explanation of the day's tasting menu. Between us 2, we shared a tasting of four pours--all of which were good. The atmosphere is great and Ludlow Wines has a neighbourly vibe that is quintessential to the Clifton Gaslight area.”

“This shop is an absolute gem in Mariemont. Chelsey curates the best selection of gourmet foods, wines, and home goods. She has impeccable taste, and every time I stop in, it’s such a treat. I really appreciate that she will call me when some of my favorite staples come in stock, and will hold them for me to pick up. IMO, she runs the best gourmet and kitchen goods shop in the city. Also, her focaccia veggie sandwich she offers in the fall is out of this world - a must try!”

“I hit this place daily for smokes. Very friendly and they remember you. Bring your dog with you for a dog treat. They appear to have a large selection of alcoholic drinks for you drinkers. The quencher sign in front always has something to say.”
“Great selection and the automatic pouring station is fun for sampling! Especially on Fridays when a group of us get together informally to taste and talk wine—anyone should feel free to join us! Now known as Funk Fridays after 5 with funk music and a fun crowd :) If you’re intimidated by the machine just ask the staff for help or another tasting patron as everyone is very friendly. As a millennial I personally like that I can browse without being bothered (at least initially/ while I get my bearings) but a few staff members are always around and able to make recommendations if I need it. Definitely ask for help if you’re new to wine or looking for something specific! Kathy and Kevin have years of great travel/tasting experience, Jim is very outgoing, has a culinary background and is the person to ask about the wine station wines along with Emily who is also very friendly, and Dan is very personable and will be sure to take the time to find out what you’re looking for—all are very knowledgeable and will make great recommendations, especially if you can describe something that you know you like as a reference! They also very kindly helped my sister (from NY) surprise me with a bottle of Champagne which they decorated with ribbon and put together a gift card and tasting machine card (pictured) all over the phone for my birthday—very helpful and thoughtful!”

“Sent 2 really nice bottles to a friend locally and the experience was A+. I was able to browse their great selection online, then finish my selections with help on the phone and the bottles were at my friend's door what seemed like moments later (adorned with beautiful ribbon!). Please people.. do be specific about who is rude,because it does get corrected thats for sure..please do not think that OUR customers concerns do not get the attention they need.. I usually buy my lottery tickets here when passing by on my commute due to the convenience of not even having to get out of my car.They offer a wide range of items like alcohol, cigarettes, lottery tickets, and more for customers who need to multitask quickly. The staff keeps the drive-thru line moving fast too.Prices are a bit higher than grocery stores since they focus on convenience rather than discounts. But for me, the time savings gained from the quick drive-thru make it worthwhile when I am grabbing necessities on the run. For fast, convenient purchasing of key items like lottery tickets and alcohol, Drive-Thru cannot be beat.”

And they always remember them!! And you know how most places are just out for their money? Today I asked for 4 cans of soda and got a 6-pack because it was cheaper!!
