Staff is super friendly and impeccably creatively dressed. If you ask, they will help you style an item and recommend different pieces if you are going to an event or in search of something to fill a specific need. The store’s curation is beautiful and very contemporary. There are lots of interesting, easily wearable pieces that my eye often doesn’t fall on right away because of how attractive the unusual/textural/sculptural stuff is. The result of the aesthetic mix inspires thinking differently about dressing and styling, even when I don’t pick anything up. Fair warning—some of the price tags are steep, but A) not all of them are that way, and B) higher cost per piece is often the nature of shopping for high quality pieces from small brands and emerging designers who do not have the scale and/or willingness to cut costs on sourcing materials, production processes, labor practices, craftsmanship, or thoughtful design. And you can always wait for a sale—there are very good deals on a lot of cool, niche, sometimes very high-end pieces. Nothing here comes from a 52-micro-season brand. Like its peer boutiques on Vine St (Continuum, TMBTITWI, Sloane), everything at Idlewild has careful thought and artistry behind it. Go, browse, be mindful and open-minded—the people who make up this business are that way themselves.

Idlewild is the store dreams are made of: beautiful clothes sold by stunning women, inside and out. Tessa, Melanie, and Julie made us feel so welcome and took their time recommending items with absolutely no pressure to purchase. Their love for fashion is palpable - you can tell their mission is to make sure everyone that walks through the door finds at least one piece that makes them feel beautiful. Mission completed! Clothes shopping is usually something I dread, but they’ve made it something I will look forward to. Thank you immensely, ladies!

Idlewild is the ideal place to shop. Tessa has a great team whenever I go in there I feel welcomed and everyone is ready to help and I always hear “ you can come in anytime you want “ Alexis is also very helpful and always honest about how an outfit looks. It as an experience. I would recommend everyone to go in there. Absolute pleasure always.

Walked into this store with my friend after spending the day in OTR. We immediately felt like we were in Pretty Woman. I guess we just didn't look rich enough to be in there. I don't want to be mean, but unless you get off on putting other people down, I wouldn't recommend supporting this store.

I am a local. Sometimes I just like to pop in when I am walking the dog, etc. Sarah is so nice and knowledgeable, that we can converse about many designers, even if they don’t carry them. It is more about your personal style. I love the clothes and am free to try them on without pressure. And have also spent a few dollars. But the collection is wonderfully curated. Cheers to this boutique and having it in Cincy.

My wife is a huge fan of this store and the clothing from there is a regular part of her rotation, regardless of season. Tessa the owner is fantastic, as are all of the people who work with her. Super friendly and personable. The pieces are all unique with great style. They do a lot with local artists, from ceramics to jewelry, and are plugged into the local community with is awesome. Definitely worth checking out!

The clothes are beautiful, unique, and size inclusive. It is my go to boutique for all occasions when I want to stand out from a crowd. The stylists are very helpful and knowledgeable of each designer and how to style a wardrobe specific to your body type and style.
