Very happy! I had 3 rugs I needed taken care of. 2 Persian Tabriz and a third silk Turkish rug. My dog chewed a hole through the corner of one of them and I needed some pretty heavy repair. I was very pleased with the outcome of the repair. The other carpets needed to be cleaned and had many deep stains. They were able to work magic on these rugs! Very happy with this company!

Fred at Heriz gave me great service. He did an appraisal on an Oriental rug that was passed down to me, and got the strong red dye out of the tassels that no one else could remove. It had been there for about 30 years! The rug needed a repair to the protective cord on one side, and it was handled beautifully.

Fred is extremely knowledgeable on Oriental rugs and is very easy to work with. My husband and I had 5 rugs cleaned. All turned out beautiful. Their technique protects the colors in the rug and keeps them from running. We will take our rugs back in the future for cleaning.

For somebody who loves Persian carpets like me going to Heriz always involves a new experience and a new education. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain what they do, how they do it, and what to expect. I was very upset at the stains that my dog left on my Qom rug. They were able to treat the stains nicely and gave me more advise on what not to do to protect the quality over time.

Great cleaning and repair work! I left a chinese silk 6x9 rug for cleaning and fringe repair. Fred and his staff did an excellent job, within the estimate and time quoted. I would definitely come here again!

I was really interested in these rugs and I went in during my lunch break and honestly the older guy was rude and asked me if I knew the size ( now I was looking for a couple different rugs for my house) . I tried to point to things so that he would atleast show me some designs or rugs but he was condescending when I even asked him about the rugs. I tried to ask him a couple times what they offer and he kept saying he needed a size and didn't show me anything. So I left and with that attitude towards me I'm never going back.

Incredible selection of new and used rugs! Wow! Fred was very helpful when I brought in my 1930’s Persian Mashad rug for his analysis. He told me how to care for it and told me the trade-in and resale value for the rug for a reasonable fee. He was candid and honest and I’ll be going back soon to his shop in Old Montgomery to buy one of his amazing rugs for my living room.

Fred saved the day when my two mastiffs chewed a pretty severe chunk out of my 8 hour old rug. It was commercially woven, not oriental, and he managed to salvage and bind our rug like new. So glad to be able to repair rather than replace! Fred provided an accurate quote, and had the work finished before he thought it might be done!

We bought a few rugs from Fred about 7 years ago. We recently changed our color palette in the house and wanted a different rug. He agreed to trade in the old rug for one that is just perfect with our updates. He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Will go pack again.

It is hard to find someone who knows about oriental carpets. This man KNOWS oriental carpets!
Whether you want to buy a new or used one, or get your heirloom cleaned, you can trust the owner is a professional who can accurately discuss the history, restore them gently, and care for each carpet properly. I doubt if there is any place else in the region that can compare. This is THE oriental rug expert.
