When Glenway Chevrolet was forced to close due to GM’s Bankruptcy in 2009 I was trying to decide what to do. Phil and I worked together for over 25 years. I loved our customers and our employees. Our customers told us that closing our dealership would create a huge need for a quality Automotive Service like we had. We wanted to take care of our customers and to bring in our family of employees back to work with us. The day we opened we had 26 customers come to our shop. Now, 14 years later, Mark Ackerman is retired in Georgia and Phil Purkiser is the owner with his wife Jan and son Philip in the business with many long-time employees still working at Glenway.
