I've been coming here for a long time but Spring 2024 was the best I have ever seen Funke's... In fact, their selection was the best I have ever seen any greenhouse in my entire life: 10 species of sage, for example, and cultivars of plants I had never seen in person. Just awesome.

Been there a long time. I have found a few things over the years. Twas late in the season seeming this late June day. Some of the greenhouses were full of burnt up plants. It has been hot this season, and lots of watering would be required to keep things going. So, not a lot in the way of things I could grab for my niece that were in bloom, but that has never been Funke's specialty. It has generally been hot peppers, vegetables, some perennials. I did not see them at the beginning of season. There was a time when they would stock a lot of "foundation" type evergreen bushes and landscaping plants. The selection has varied over the years. But, yes, herbs, peppers, vegetables, but don't wait too late in the season. A bunch of people were busily creating large, possibly paper mache vegetables when I was there, so they were having fun with that project. Now I see that they are closed on Tuesday. It's funky, ok?

I was introduced to Funkes last year near the end of the gardening season, and they did not disappoint then and have exceeded all expectations this growing season for sure. Funkes will defend be my go-to greenhouse for my vegetable garden needs.

Wow, what a selection. Found out about this place from a reddit post. Sounded like a great place for peppers & tomatoes. Called yesterday per website recommendation as it is weekend after their primary dates. Selection may have been a bit less than peak time but still a lot to choose from as you can see from what i limited my selection down to with pics.
I am super excited as the rest of my garden is coming along nicely but was lacking in tomatoes and peppers. The price sure beats the time and attention needed for a small gardener such as myself. If these go as well as I hope I won't ever worry about starting so much and just pick up here. 5+ stars. Even picked up a shirt. Thank you!

The largest selection of peppers and tomatoes from A-z , more than I ever heard of . I bought a pepper plant called FOOLED YOU,- because it looks like a jalapeño, but is sweet. Can't wait till I grow one.

Best stock anywhere of heirloom tomatoes! Peppers, also. By this time of year (June 1), the tomato starts are looking a little haggard. But I guess that is to be expected.

I was struggling with my seedlings this year, and someone told me about this place. They now have a long time customer. They have a huge selection of tomatoes and peppers. A lot of super hots and exotic peppers and all kinds of other veggies and herbs for your garden, along with all the tools and supplies you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't wait for my next visit

This place is fantastic! I will never go to a big box store for vegetables again. I spent my lunch hour here and had a blast looking at all the varieties of things. I can’t wait to plant all I purchased. Everyone was helpful & kind. I am a customer for life. I was there on a Thursday afternoon, not too crowded. Check them out!
