After a parking lot fender bender (07/29/22) I took my car to the body shop (08/03/22)to then find out I did not have rental coverage. I called my agent (08/03/22)to ask to have rental coverage added because I would need a rental.I was not told at that time I would not be covered for the rental car because I did not have rental coverage at the time of the accident.10/12/22, I received a call from the rental car company if I would be needing a car when I dropped off my car for repair, I said yes. They then told me the insurance company said I would not be covered. I immediately called the insurance company to inquire about what I was told. I asked the agent am I covered for a rental car. The agent told me yes I was covered and to forward her phone number to the rental agent, of which I did immediately after our call.10/13/22, I drove from Williamstown Ky, to Amelia which is where I was to drop my car off to be repaired. When the rental car agent arrived to the repair shop he said he called the insurance company number I gave him the day before and they again told him I was not covered.I then called the insurance agent to ask what was going on. I was then told I was not covered because I didn’t have coverage at the time of the accident. I then told the agent this was not told to me when I added the rental car coverage and that just the day before I was told I was covered.The agent then said she would listen to the phone call recordings. After which she confirmed the agent the day before did tell me I was covered, but she didn’t check my file thoroughly.I never heard anything from the first phone call I made of which I was not told I would be covered for this repair.So I ended up paying over $500 for a vehicle to drive until my car was repaired.Totally unacceptable!!!!!!I’ve been with Allstate for many years never late on a bill and always follow every step they told me to take, and this is my return……Time for a new insurance company sounds like to me

So far they have kept my insurance (home & 2 auto full coverage) lower than what I was paying through State Farm. Anytime I have had to call, they were able to help me out with what I was needing, transferring from 1 vehicle to another.

I fax my cancellation letter on Jan. 10th 2022 from State farm agent office, but I was told they never received my letter of cancelation. I called last week and I fax again then she told me she got my fax. I want my refund from 1/10/2022.
